>you’ve already cried 5 times toward the end of RotK
>Concerning Hobbits plays during the last scene reminding you of the first scene of FotR
PAIN
Unironically, See You Again from Furious 7.
>Kisses and Cake from P.S. I Love You plays
>Crying in 30 seconds
everything composed by howard shore makes me upset. lotr is the prime example of him. how can a score be both beautifully cheery and sad? fucking kino
youtube.com
Things used to be so colourful
Concerning Hobbits makes me feel like everything is safe and life is good. I can't really explain how it does it, but it just makes me long for home
>barely pay attention to songs during movies
Am I watching movies wrong?
>'concerning Hobbits' comes on
>Immediately imagine back to an England, an older England which was sweeter and purer, where the hay smelt better and the weather was always springtime and the daffodils bloomed in the gentle warm breezes. A nostalgia you feel for in Chaucer and you feel it all through Shakespeare. And now in Tolkien
>Suddenly Remember I live in Britain in 2019 and so much has been lost
It hurts
>was in the bathroom at UK Heathrow Airport
>Concerning Hobbits comes on
only certain movies have good soundtracks
it feels like an art lost to most modern movies, the last movie I remember when an iconic soundtrack were like harry pooper and lotr
It's all just BRAAAAAAAP horns after fucking Inception came out. Fucking hate that shit.
>it’s been a while since I’ve watched the movies
>see this post and play the song
>within literal 3 seconds eyes swell up, goosebumps, hard nips, and chills
Jesus Christ
>kindle a fire
>pour nice cuppa, bit of toast
>sit down, queue up "Concerning Hobbits"
>hear drunken screaming outside window
>look outside, 3 slags are standing around laughing at a fallen friend
>turn up the volume on your gramophone
>more yelling pierces the serenity
>chance another look outside
>3 pakis raping the fallen drunk
>raise cuppa to mouth, hand trembling
>think of ringing the local bobbies, then remember you forgot to pay your TV license this week
>turn volume louder still
>finally, hear a bloodcurdling shriek
>fling curtains open, certain what's just been done is murder most foul
>woman still in street, screaming and writhing feebly as dog urinates on her
>finish lunch break, head back to the office
*tears of joy commence*
This is a good thread, don't die.
you are watching them wrong but its a losing gamble that you’ll come across a film with a soundtrack worth remembering. the song itself has to have merit, to provoke emotion and fit the tone and atmosphere of the scene.
the BRAAAAP horns worked in inception and inception is arguably the most kino way of implementing it, hans zimmer did it right. i’ve yet to find another film where it doesn’t sound absolutely out of place and annoying.
On the flip side, the theme that plays when Mordor is finally defeated and at Aragorn’s coronation always lifts my spirits.
the ending music in fellowship is my favorite
make my eyes rain all time i watch.
very sadness.
>Braveheart theme starts playing
>it is now playing in your head
John Williams is too powerful
For me , it's Gollum's song.
For me, it's the Crusaders in Pskov. Whenever those strings have their moment, you can just feel the fear and misery of the people of Pskov as the knights round up and burn their children alive.

bump because this is a good thread in a sea of shit
I’m weeping internally
All I can think of is the Metamorphosis vid by Murdoch Murdoch fuck you and bless you
crying at music is gay
Why does it tear people up?
t. closet homosexual

youtube.com
maybe it's kind of overused, but fuck me if it isn't effective. 1:41 ;_;
rocketman is underrated for feels
Who names a region Westfarting
who names a region WestBRAPing
why are threads like these dead while trash capeshit are filled with faggots
:(
that's the only reason why despite being short lived they are of quality
is it even possible to watch the elephant man and not cry at least once
>went to the Fellowship of the ring live projection with live orchestra in 2016
>cried so fucking hard when the elven choir started singing the intro
>followed by 2017 the two towers
>and finished in 2018 with the return of the king
Holy fucking shit, I put the bar so fucking high. I haven't watched LOTR since. My vacations will consist of traveling around Europe to see the live projections
It truly is the best trilogy ever made and will be

not sure if exactly sad
always tear up to this. always.
>you'll never be a hobbit living in a warm, sunny, completely homogeneous white-skinned village of happiness and good nature.
would even know where to begin with if you had to start a vegetable garden?
best dragon ever
I'm sure my neighbour would be all for helping me get started.
Might even supply me with some of his saplings.
the first how to train your dragon had a decent score, effectively expressive
yes. It's like you're watching half a film by not paying attention to the sound.
sound does like 80% of the job for dramatic scenes
try watch any moving scene of your liking with only voices, it becomes shit af
cringe and underage
>no mention of Let It Be
Concerning Hobbits is all very nice and well but it's Let It Be that takes me back.
find another one, duplicates won't be tolerated
same for me, that was beautiful. speaking of Sorrentino, I spent yesterday evening sobbing my way through the last few episodes of the young pope. so good.
dig a whole. shit in said whole. chuck sneeds in, and viola, garden.
The Road. "main theme" and "memory"
youtube.com
Song starts at 1:30. Kills me every time when Clint starts singing
I was over 20 when the first came out you dip. HTTYD had a great soundtrack, new things arent necessarily bad you wannabe boomer
