Why do people insist on spending millions and millions of dollars on film and TV?
If we just stopped paying, film and TV would be forced to lower their budgets, effectively killing capeshit, and everything would be akin to low-budget indie, foreign, or arthouse kino.
By paying, you're giving studios the money to rely on visual effects, stupid costumes and paying a few actors tens of millions of dollars for a few months work instead of writing a good story, relying on camerawork, and hiring unknowns who need the work.

the last movie I watched in the theater that was worth anything was The Incredibles, everything else I was either dragged or invited to so I wasn't sacrificing my faith in cinema for subjecting myself to movie shit.
