You know what I really miss about having cable? If you don't know what to watch, you'd just flip channels. Plus having to watch either 1 episode a day or 1 a week of your favorite show made it more cherishable. I hate the current meta we're in where we have access to any show possible but can't decide what to watch. I miss TV guide. I miss marathons. I miss special Friday Night specials.

I miss Yea Forums

Ruined by brain damaged millennial pieces of shit. They can’t pay attention to anything for more than 5 minutes m. They binge watch netfix crap while checking their phones the whole time.

No you don't, you miss not having content curated to you and the sense of comradery that watching the same thing as almost everyone else gave you.

You liked it when TV shows trolled with their commercial placement?

I do kinda miss the randomness of the stuff that came on.
It was never anything I really 'loved' watching, and certain ones always seemed to repeat every few days, but generally i'd be like
>Oh hey, its that one movie. Sounds good, I guess

>dad flipping through channels
>stops at mtv
>beavis and butthead
>"uh dad you said i cant watch this"
>resumes flipping channels
any kinos for this feel?

I do not miss that fucking tv guide channel. it was a godsend when the digital menus you could browse came out. even better when I finally got a server set up at home and just acquired the content I intended to watch

I still have cable mostly because it gives my gf something to easily watch while I'm on the computer. There's still some decent programming but over the years the whole experience has become almost intolerable. Commercials are out of control, the editing and production styles of shows are obnoxious. Many networks can't even be bothered to air episodic shows chronologically. Sound editing is at it's most annoying with huge amounts of ambient tracks and random sfx added in. I also love how most networks advertise themselves with popups and shit. It's all so tiresome.

TV has way too many ads now, and despite that new loudness law the commercials seem even louder. It's just completely annoying and I can't watch it any more. You know how long it takes to Bittorrent a show these days? Like three minutes. Fuck Netflix and Hulu and the rest, too. Just select your torrent, hit the bathroom and grab a snack, and your kino's already finished these days.

What stuff does she generally watch?

blacked porn mostly

What, you don't like having instant access to hundreds of movies you don't really feel like watching?

does netflix still do dvd by mail? back then they had more movies than anybody

i recently stayed in a place with a smart tv with netflix and i looked and it seemed that the library was quite limited

My mom got emails from her isp the last couple times I torrented a show ;_;

Youtube does effectively the same thing as channel surf for you
nothing's *really* changed

Fucking this

AMERIKEKED

make you really fucked up there. were you that douche kid that ratted out kids with gameboys?

I learned about Akira on the tv guide channel in the 90s. Saw that dude get blown apart by bullets and thought it was awesome. Got into anime, then saw how shit it became after 2003.

>youtube
Why would I watch some vlogger or some guy in bumfucknowhere recording himself gayming?

You know theres more on YouTube than zoomer e-celebs. Theres entire college courses, documentaries, lectures on just about anything you can imagine etc

instead, you could watch basically any movie not made by a major studio, every music video ever made, a majority of the commercials too, or original documentaries and instructional videos
isn't every single Joy of Painting on youtube?

>samefagging your retarded underage post nobody replied to
lmao

>sense of camaraderie
Are you kidding me there was a huge sense of camaraderie when everyone had to watch one episode of say The Sopranos all at the same time
