Yeah the script is tightly wrapped, I could write paragraphs of all the set ups and pay offs that happen every scene. No dialogue is unimportant and every action has a consequence. It's not often a blockbuster puts this much work into it's screenplay. One of my favorite connections is that ironic one you posted, she gives him her heart, just not in the way she originally meant. Originally just to get him to satisfy his dream, but when said dream was shattered, it was to just save his life. Of course I've mentioned the "I'm not your daughter" and then "Thank you father" arc that goes on between Ido and Alita. Every person Alita tries to save dies, you get the idea.

It was a super ambitious attempt to adapt an almost impossible novel. Regardless of the problems the film has it still makes me hopeful for the future whenever I watch it so that's why it's so important to me.

Also the book/film was one of few things me and my long term Ex shared- we used to read passages of the book to each other on nights we couldn't sleep so that's super special to me even if it's still a bittersweet memory.

The issue is the perspective on the hand, that fold is coming up from around behind the hand in a way that is not natural and looks more like a fifth finger than just the hand. Hell, its a fold only fat people really have at that.
