The Case Against Adnan Syed

I've never seen anything that was so obviously made by a female before. I haven't even looked it up. Every other second there's some cheesy love song, followed by a cheesy "deep" hand drawn animation, followed by cutesy romantic shit. Is this documentary going to be nothing but emotional argument bullshit?

Have you listened to the podcast? That's where it all starts. For the TV show, the producer wanted to "give Hae a voice" so that's why the style is the way it is. They're animating entries from a teenage girl's diary.

The Case Against Adnan Sneed

The guy is obviously guilty though

never heard about it before. i just love true crime documentaries so i downloaded this one. i just feel like they're building up this whole wonderful love story so i'm supposed to believe that somebody that lovely could never have committed a murder. it feels so dishonest.

If you're only listening to Episode 6, you're missing a ton of info. Listen from Episode 1 and go from there. Basically Sarah Koenig was hired by a friend of the Syed family to investigate this case with the unstated goal of proving his innocence and she wavers back and forth throughout the entire podcast as to whether he's guilty or not.

I personally think Adnan was railroaded by the cops but also probably guilty, though idk if "beyond a reasonable doubt". Jay said Adnan did it and took the cops to where the car was. Adnan nor anyone else can definitively account for where he was during the time that Hae was murdered, and he challenged Sarah Koenig to drive the route the prosecutors claimed he took to murder and dispose of the body, saying that it couldn't be done in the time frame they said it did. Turns out Sarah and an assistant were able to do it. As the assistant said, either Adnan had the shittiest luck in the world or he was guilty.

came to check if this was here, lookin good fellas

i'm watching the new HBO documentary

the whole series smacks of female logic, and Adnan even confronts her with it- I dont want you to say "I dont think he did it because he's too nice" i want you to say "i looked at the case and the facts say you didnt do it"

he's a smart guy whose had a lot of time to think this through. he's butthurt his lawyer blew the first trial, that he was supposedly doing well in, and that they nailed him with spotty evidence and his stoner moron friend.

The evidence against him is more than enough. The podcast waffles for entertainment.

If you can't convict him it would be basically impossible to convict anyone of anything. The standard is beyond a REASONABLE doubt.

Imagined totally unreasonable scenarios aren't exculpatory.

>serial podcast about uninteresting paki ex gf killer is boring as shit, universally regarded as not worth the fuss
>case goes back to obscurity. no cult of fans
>lets make a tv show

This is what I came to post if it wasn't posted, good job

>>I haven't even looked it up.

Is this why you come here? To bitch about shit you don't have to watch and ask questions without doing any research yourself? Can't we just talk about M.A.S.H. instead?

i watched it. but i didnt look up if a man or a woman created the show

Based

Formerly Chuck

>the whole series smacks of female logic,

pretty much. Their attitude seems to be he is a nice charming guy who never hurt anybody before since he is a minority (Muslim) liberal logic wants to believe he could not have got a fair trial and therefore must be innocent.

More like Adam Sneed

Formerly The Case Against Adnan Fyed

this is why Yea Forums is best board

I AGREE OP

FEMALES ARE TERRIBLE

>female logic
What's that?

Wasn’t his ex Korean? She’s a minority too right or are Asians considered whites by white women

feels>reals

>case goes back to obscurity. no cult of fans
The state ruled to give him a re-trial directly because of the podcast. The Court of Appeals just denied that retrial THREE DAYS AGO. The Innocence Project have been fighting with the state to get DNA testing. It definitely didn't go back into obscurity, it's still making news.

Season 1 of Serial ran from October to December of 2014. From 2015 to now, there were two documentaries, two books, and another podcast about the cast.

Just because you personally haven't seen any of it doesn't mean it went back into obscurity. Your personal experience is not everyone's reality, aspy.

Guys I love Hae

>female logic
The last episode they basically admit he probably fucking did it. Sarah Koenig's assistant shuts down her entire argument and then koenig realizes she's right

a submarine screen door

Either Adnan did it or Jay did it and scapegoated Adnan.

The "butt-dial" call to that girl from adnans phone and the fact that Jay knew where Hae's car was, containing her dead body, did it for me. He killed her.

But it doesn't feel like either Jay or Adnan told the truth about what happened that day. Jay's involvement probably extended as far as being forced to help somebody who had some minor dirt on him. I don't see any motive for him to kill her.

It's all the worse when you consider how adamant Adnan is that he didn't do it.

>It's all the worse when you consider how adamant Adnan is that he didn't do it.
That's part of the crux of the podcast. He's so adamant he didn't do it, none of his classmates have anything bad to say about him, his community liked him so its easy to be lulled believing him. When they start hitting you with facts later on in the podcast you just see how much of a manipulator he is.

Can't believe this motherfucker is going to get out
