>Armie Hammer ("Call Me By Your Name") and Alexander Skarsgard ("Hold the Dark") are being eyed to star in Universal Pictures' and Blumhouse Pictures' upcoming R-rated THE INVISIBLE MAN remake directed by Leigh Whannell ("Upgrad").
>They're up for the main role of Adrian Griffin, "a sociopathic businessman who finances the development of an invisibility suit for the Department of Defense". Elisabeth Moss ("The Handmaiden's Tale") is in final talks to play scientist Cecilia Kass, the movie's female lead.
I just hope it ends up alright. Universal hasn't touched The Invisible Man series in a while (the last one was the Abbott and Costello mash-up which released in 1951).
>Power, I said! Power to walk into the gold vaults of the nations, into the secrets of kings, into the Holy of Holies. Power to make multitudes run squealing in terror at the touch of my little invisible finger. Even the moon's frightened of me! Frightened to death! The whole world's frightened to death! >An invisible man can rule the world! Nobody will see him come, nobody will see him go. He can hear every secret. He can rob, and rape, and kill!
Tyler Robinson
Hammer's got a pretty cool voice, though.
Thomas Clark
Armie has been in so many flops- The Lone Ranger, The Man From UNCLE, Sorry to Bother You, On the Basis of Sex, etc. Why does he have a career still?
Easton Richardson
why? the original will be a much better film and the hollow man will be a much better rapekino.
Daniel Carter
>Adrian Griffin, "a sociopathic businessman who finances the development of an invisibility suit for the Department of Defense" Modern times confirmed!
Charles Morgan
>will be invisible for 90% of the movie You don't know that, retard. I bet you want a tarbaby the role. Even if the character is invisible, no one wants to watch niggers.
Lincoln King
>No Memoirs of Get yourself together user
Hudson Hughes
Probably will go to Skarsgard. Armie's already got like 3 or 4 films with him leading lined up. (Not including the rumored Batman)
Juan James
They are not trying to remake it. They are going to show a new incarnation of it. I think that was the whole purpose of Dark Universe - adapt these monsters into modern day. Speaking of which, seems like they are going to keep that name according to NBCUniversal's page program.
Adrian Edwards
>upcoming R-rated THE INVISIBLE MAN remake They don't make R-rated shit anymore lmao.
Matthew James
But that was under Regency and Warner Bros rather than Universal
Sebastian Jenkins
They are talking about low budget (10-15M) R-rated movie.
Mason Peterson
So what's up with this Dark Universe thing? Are they still doing it? I mean to release standalone movies under Dark Universe badge instead of shared cinematic universe and then connect them in the future.
Tyler King
Will he kill a train full of people in this movie and set fire to an orphanage?
Benjamin Butler
Probably depends on the success of the next one that comes out
Camden Jones
>Will be invisible for 90% of the movie Oh user, that is some wishful thinking.
Ian Martin
The whole point in the movie should be that he's invisible, can't change back and is slowly going bonkers. It stands that the actor should be able to carry the movie through voice alone.
William Powell
Would be cool. A darker and less quipping alternative to superheroes stuff. Maybe even super villain universe.
William Myers
I am the invisible man. I am the invisible man. Incredible how you can SEE RIGHT THROUGH ME
Carter Morris
I thought the spoiler would be indecent. Thank you!
Aaron Lewis
Rape
Oliver Wood
The whole premise has been sexualized to perversion. "Hollow Man" (which is just a retelling of "Invisible Man" without the IP) basically rendered the Invisible Man moot. Anyone who makes/remakes the premise now will just have half the audience wondering when the guy is going to slip into a women's locker room or some such event.
Christopher Brooks
to be fair thats all anyone really wants to see
like if you got to be invisible for a few days or whatever before you get caught what would you do?
Sebastian Ortiz

Anyone who makes/remakes the premise now will just have half the audience wondering when the guy is going to slip into a women's locker room or some such event. and the hollow man is the best invisible man film because of that.
