Can someone extrapolate on this for me?
Can someone extrapolate on this for me?
People do like good action movies, but don't like modern subculture of "SJW".
Critics are boomers and soillenials. They don't like anything that might possibly appeal to the masses and they definitely like being paid money for positive reviews.
you realize captain marvel is set to be one of the most successful films in movie history, right?
One made incels angry, the other didn't.
Captain Marvel earned entire box office run of Alita in just 3 days so it means Alita was a worse movie experience.
Movie audiences don't know a good movie when they see one.
Critics like good and well made movies.
Audiences like broad derivative tripe that doesnt make them think too hard.
>trusting Hollywood numbers when so many movies magically turn no profit
Yikes! Also...
>YouTube changes algorithm
>RT redesign
>RT stops accepting reviews below threshold
>Metacritic drops user scores
>"Journalists" in a tizzy
>Twitter in a tizzy
>Half empty theaters
>insanely low critic and user scores (the ones they let be posted)
>Hollywood accounting
>Prelude to the biggest soi-movie ever
Fuck I'd hate to see us win.
Who's paying you to spam this?
OBSESSED
There are two reasons:
1) To be successful as a film critic today requires to be a shill for movies rather than an actual critic of movies.
2) Production companies pay newspapers and movie websites to shill their movies.
Film criticism is absolutely dead now that the overwhelming majority of movie reviewers are braindead plebs who know next to nothing about movies.
Nothing wrong with your image pleb
its all a setup.
Captain marvel lost money, and people didnt liked it, still the mouse is the mouse, and you will see news and media saying it achieved everything that was planned.
im glad Walt is dead, he would probably kill himself if saw what his company does now.
the truth gives no money, only hope of a better tomorrow.
Just another laughable blog post style movie review that is more about the reviewer or politics than the movie. Plot good = movie good. Plot bad = movie bad.
Are you illiterate? He's talking about Eastwood.
>he does it for free
That's even sadder
Sure. Here you go.
Are you? Because there the 5 words he posted said nothing about him.
All the shills can fuck off out of Yea Forums. We can see through this bullshit.
>Can someone extrapolate on this for me?
jews jewing
Why are you calling this political movement that is being advertised on TV a subculture?
Yes. Two flops.
>delete tens of thousands of negative reviews
>still can't get the user score in the positive
bad movie got spammed with positive reviews
good movie got spammed with negative reviews
this is because incels don't actually care about the movies themselves, they just want to elevate the cute obedien robot waifu, and bury le ebil men hating feminist
TLJ also made 1.3 billion.
Nerves struck.
So money is now your definition of a good film?
Critics are paid, nowadays, to say what they need to in order to stay in the good graces of the studio whose film they are "reviewing."
Because this is just a popular movement. Like Rapping or making food photos in Instagram. SJWs doesn't have any political power, Jews just monetize them.
My definition is whatever I’m told it is.
Trolls and virgins hate expensive movie that makes investors money and like smaller well directed film
>good
Idk how people can take critics at face value anymore
Like honestly, without any of the back and forth venom, does anyone actually still take reviews seriously in their own right? Especially for such big properties.
Ever since gamergate the barn doors have been blown off and these huge studios have been scrambling ever since to play the politics game and save their asses from bad reviews without having to actually invest in a quality film
Good movie, corrupt critics, faithful allies.
Bad film, corrupt critics, a crowd of slave.
I've seen every Marvel movie in theaters and this still baffles me. Captain Marvel was so fucking meh. The action was lacking and there weren't any memorable combat scenes at all.
The only thing it had going for it was Skrulls and Nick Fury, Cpt Marvel herself was a boring character with 0 development and free powers.
Alita was so much more enjoyable, the only problem was some of the dialogue was shitty, but it was still a LOT better than CM. This really is just a good example of how powerful your marketing brand can be.
It is the measure of success for this type of film.
that online polls don't necessarily translate to real life. Alita has A- Cinemascore while CM has an A
> Alita has A-
Interdesting. I do actually want to see it, and do not trust the fag shills on this board.
I'll definitely be interested to see how CM affects the franchise going forward. Although its reception hasn't been overwhelmingly negative, it also hasn't been overwhelmingly positive, and I definitely think it could end up being contentious if Endgame tries to force Carol into a prominent role and if the retardedly on-the-nose GURL POWAR shit from this movie carries over into that one.
I read one of the rotten reviews after watching Alita (which I enjoyed) to figure out what their problem was. The fucker kept babbling on about how you should not need to know prior information to enjoy the movie. What? It's self contained just fine, other than having a sequel ready ending.
It's both baffling and honestly kind of funny. I can't tell if the critic was sincerely confused by a rather simple popcorn movie or if he was just faking offense while grasping at straws. Maybe because it's a famous and presumably long manga based movie with a built in fanbase he guessed that would be the case and just went with that. Bizarre.
Alita - Weebs take serious business.
CM - RT were raided by Incels.
>raid
Keep trying, Disney mom.
All those awful incel professional movie reviewers, don't they know?
