Anything rated highly can be called overrated; it only takes the one idiot to say it.

Also that's not Once Upon a Time in the West

that's all that needs to be said

i think unforgiven is better.

It's up there, but not the best. See pic.

it is truly the best, but if you haven't watched it as a kid it won't have the same effect probably

Correction: see a fistful of dollars and for a few dollars more first. I didn't like GBU at first until I went back and watched those two.

This is my deserted island cowboy kino pick the other dollar tril are great in their own way but you get a different experience each movie

It's not even the best movie in the Dollars trilogy. That being said it's an amazing film

While that is technically true, it's kind of silly to imply you need to watch it as a kid.
It's a great film at any age, you just won't have any nostalgia for it
Also as a kid I fucking hated Westerns

That's not how you spell 'The Outlaw Josey Wales'

A Fistful of Dollars is just the best Yojimbo ripoff out of many.
For a Few Dollars More isn't even good. It's corny and anti-climactic.

Plebs pretend to like it, pseuds and contrarians call it overrated plebeian trash, true intellectuals know it's the best.

It ain't like it used to be, but... it'll do

I dont know if its the best western ever

Its definitely a great film however.

It's truly the best western ever made and it's not overrated.

Here are the top 5 westerns for you lads. Anyone who disagrees is wrong.

In no particular order

The Wild Bunch
The Magnificent Seven
Unforgiven
For a Few Dollars More
Young Guns

One of the best movie making stories comes from the Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

Leona had the Spanish army giving him the hand in making the sets, playing as extras and so on. The big scene, where the bridge was to be exploded used army engineers, who were taking care of the explosion. The bridge was also purposefully built for the scene by the army.

Now, come the filming day, the man in charge of the explosion assured to Leone all would go as planned, as he had to only give a sign to blow up the bridge. Leone was happy and they went to their locations, only for the dude in charge give the sign too early before any of the cameras were rolling.

Leone was angry as hell, as you might imagine. So to make things right, the army agreed to re-build the bridge, which would take a couple of weeks.

The shooting continued on another location while the bridge was re-built. After it was done, the crew returned and the bridge was blown up again, this time with the cameras rolling.

i liked for a few dollars more more, had more darkness to it and volonté was a wonderful unmatched villain

High noon is a peak comfy western

Not overrated, but it's also not High Plains Drifter.

eh, it's a nice little story but hardly "one of the best"

Do you realize how big of a fuck up that was? They build a bridge, a real sized bridge in order to blow it up only to do so with no cameras rolling.

You're thinking of Tropic Thunder and that happened in the movie, not on set
