Is there any reason they keep making only 'miserable' Kino?
Why Korean movies are so depressing?
After watching Peppermint Candy I’m wondering this too
What the fuck Worst Korea?
if you go to korea you'll understand
The country has been a hell on earth for as long as we have living memory. The women literally carve themselves up to look presentable. They are constantly embroiled in devastating wars, half their country is literally a nightmarish hellscape 1984 torture chamber. The other half are just as fucked up in the head they just hide it better until they kill themselves. I can only think of a few other places on earth I would want less to live.
>What the fuck Worst Korea?
All of Lee Chang dong films are depressing and heart wrenching.
this
korea is a consumerist hell
Have you been there?
This, no wonder why they have higher suicide rate

Asian movies in general tend to have heavier emotional weight than the west, as in they take everything to the extremes, whether it be comedy, horror or drama.
It's the same for their foods, the flavours normally take taste buds to their extremes. Foods like mala spice, msg, baiju, etc.
Asian people tend to be a people of extremes. They take most things to extremes.
Same but oasis
>They are constantly embroiled in devastating wars
There hasn't been a war on the peninsula for 75 years, despite America's best attempts to start one
I've lived in and around Seoul for 10 years. It's fine for a foreigner for me, but yeah it's depressing for actual Koreans because of the hyper competitiveness of everything from schools to jobs to relationships.
every korean women looks like they must have the tightest fucking pussy around. Just rubbing my penis on one of their clits would make me cum fucking buckets holy shit
What’s the matter? Not enough niggers for ya? Stick to capeshit shitter.
Recommend me some korean depressing movies, I like sad movies.
I'm already downloading the one mentioned.

ITT: people talking out of their asses
>I'm already downloading the one mentioned.
Its about Korean modern history. Unless you have some basic knowledge of it, it must be boring.
1997 Asian Financial Crisis
1987 The year South Korea became democric with their public protest against police and military.
1980 Gwangju massacre. Gwangju citizen portested aganist military dictatorship but killed by military.

>tfw pornography is illegal in Korea so all you have is crappy hotel videos of prostitutes
It sucks. I have to use a VPN to get any good stuff here. Doesn't help that I go to the gym and see women like pic related all the time and have to try to focus on my workout and not look like a creep.
Thats because most of the koreans film non-koreans know are thriller/drama which are usually depressing. Koreans films are mostly feel good comedy. This film is currently the 2nd most popular film there and most korean films have this kind of atmosphere. Even depressing films like memories of murder or the wailing have black comedy in them
I guess that's true. Comedy in general is harder to translate to other cultures than say comedy.
>Comedy in general is harder to translate to other cultures than say comedy.
Well, I'm retarded. I meant to say comedy is harder to translate than drama.
>use glasses
>do martial arts
>everytime the sensei tell us to stretch some thot put her butt wide up to the skies in front ot me and I my eyes are drawn to it like magnets, can't focus

Simple problems have simple solutions.

Why are South Korean flicks so edgy
