>Aluminum.....ash....it’s like you can smell the psycho-sphere
What? Am I a brainlet? What the hell did he mean by this?

Not psychosphere. Psycho's fear

that you need to have sex

But who was the psycho? Who were they afraid of?

Rust is psychic. He's smelling/tasting/sensing his own future on the collective unconsciousness of humanity. He can smell the ruin and psychic pollution.

Why are americans so insistent on incorrectly saying the alloys name?
It's Aluminium.

Maybe if the nigger that named it didn’t change it three times it wouldn’t be an issue.

>why do people from different countries say things differently

aluminum is the correct original latinate name, from alumina (the oxide) the -a is transformed into -um
see also: platinum, tantalum, molybdenum, lanthanum

the aluminium spelling was introduced soon after the elements discovery by a different chemist who didn't like how 'aluminum' didn't sound "elementally" to him. it used to be the common spelling in the states afterward but we changed back due to advance of industrial literature on aluminum versus scientific literature round about the turn of the century

it's a valid and legitimate question in the field of linguistics.

You're supposed to think he's a step over the edge

Holy fuck eurofag BTFO

Honestly not really

honestly really and here's the answer

Calling one pronunciation “wrong” isn’t though, just like Brits calling “Water” “Wah-uh” isn’t incorrect.

>potassium, sodium, helium, titanium, lithium, rubidium, caesium, magnesium, calcium, strontium, palladium etc etc
see what I mean?

No, it's really not.

Haha yeah and Neon and Hydrogen and Bromine and Copper

They all used to end with "-a". It was never "aluminia" except when one guy pulled it out of his asshole (arsehole).

I believe he says at one point he "suffers" from synesthesia. Basically, his brain connects senses and memories together, so when he smells ash he might "see" a murderer - or something more abstract, like evil incarnate.

For us retards, this line really only sets up the fact that Rust is smarter than everyone in the room... Or at the very least, he's different.

Aluminium isn't an alloy retard.

>amerimutt """"""""""education"""""""""
First off its spelled aluminium and second off it IS an alloy you fucking spaz, its a metal innit

quality shitpost

>synesthesia
Wouldn't it actually be synesthesium?

Fucking kek

>Calling one pronunciation “wrong” isn’t though, just like Brits calling “Water” “Wah-uh” isn’t incorrect.

It is the poor who say "wah-uh". You cannot be suggesting that they are human

Aluminium

LEMME OUT MAN

Be honest, you've never heard an English person enunciate "water" in your entire life. PROTIP: Listen to "Come Together" by The Beatles before you embarrass yourself further.

*Mows your lawn*

That's how you spell it in Arabic.

I honestly think that Rust's personality was a bit overdone and unrealistic. He's this tough, focused, brooding dude from Texas, living in 90's Louisiana, yet he dresses like some rich British poet. Also his lines occasionally sound like he's some philosophy freshman, straight out of his high school goth phase.
The character is still one of the most interesting figures ever to appear on TV, but some parts should be toned down a bit, since a little subtlety would only to good to his character.

>fucks your wife

oh you

>he dresses like some rich British poet.
>wears a shirt/tie and a wifebeater

My autistic friend tried to act like rust. He also tried to act like David from Prometheus once, walking all robotic and not speaking much.

I hate these autistic characters that speak to spergs.

Yeah, for the most part he dresses realistically, but I'm talking specifically about pic related. Way too romantic and classy looking for someone of his caliber. Maybe it's the hair and not the clothes? Definitely doesn't look like an ex undercover narc's hairstyle pick. More like someone walking the red carpet or teaching English literature.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

My step brother did the same thing trying to emulate Rust and the Driver from Drive.

he has synesthesia remeber?

That was a joke, retard. He doesn't actually have synesthesia.

Nigga where do you work? McDonald's? That's the average wear for any respectable job.

mcconaughey is just sexy as hell and makes anything he wears look classy

>Nigga where do you work? McDonald's?
Not anymore, I work at Walmart now
>That's the average wear for any respectable job.
Then why wasn't he at work in that scene you fucking idiot? Kill yourself

He was at work, dumbass

>synesthesia

and probably mild schizophrenia

>Driver from Drive
your brother is a patrician

Why do Brits think they were the center of the world at any point after the eighteenth century?

I think the fact that they had the largest, most powerful Navy and empire might have had something to do with it.

Having the largest navy has not been important for a very long time. Do you think North Korea is the most powerful country in the world at this moment because of their rusted garbage ships?

Your own personal Carcosa.

>man wearing a suit on the job
What are you, retarded?

Are you breakroom user??

Oh so that's how you stopped the Blitz?

>no google results on pic

>time is a flat circle
>he's drinking beer out of an aluminium can and smoking cigarettes in the interrogation scene
>he tastes the beer and cigs from the future
bravo pizza

did you work on the production?

>psycho-sphere
It's noosphere, why did Rust use the incorrect terminology? Was he a unreliable narrator? Or just a pretentious lawnmower?

It's from Lovecraft and Roland C. Wagner, makes it evident Nic just plagiarized shit since he didn't even bother to look up the correct scientific term.

Here's your explanation big guy

Why do the British speak the objectively wrong version of English that's further removed from the original source than even those drunk Aussie cunts? Why is America the only English speaking nation that speaks the truest form of the language? Why are British people such sewer dwelling mutants that they can only speak their mumbly beak-billed dialect?

Oh, you mean like you're doing right now?

>we wuz english n shit
absolutely pitiful

based quads, goose

that would make sense if you called other elements -um instead of -ium, but it's still uranium and not uranum

are you retarded?
