This was the best movie experiences I've had since BR2049 or alita. Brie has once in a generation screen presence and her quirky laughs and affable smile and banter with Goose the cat made me fall in love with Captain Marvel the character and her story. The theater was packed tonight at 730 pm on a Sunday night and it was very diverse mix of fans, all different ages, groups familys. I think i was the only single white male there.

That’s fine, I still didn’t want to see it because every piece of promotional material looked like shit and most reviewers I follow simply said “meh” or worse. On top of that the entire movie has been spoiled.
Brie’s comments were merely the icing on the cake that made me not want to give Disney any more of my shekels after they’ve ruined several properties I really like in recent years. Brie larson has not earned this fucking soapbox she is spewing her shit from. Is the movie a 1/10? No Is it a fucking 10/10? fuck no. The movie is average, below average compared to previous capeshits, especially wonder woman. What makes this movie shit compare to wonder woman is Brie.
Nobody had a problem with gal gadot because gal gadot didn't come out spewing garbage about how if her movie bombed it's because her movie was attacked be "Evil White men". She wanted to make a movie for little girls and be a hero for them and that's fine, it didn't take away from the movie and she didn't force it down everyone's throat.
Brie is the exact opposite and is the sole reason this movie will bomb, and she deserves it.
