What movies accurately portray the day to day life of a Los Angeles citizen? No Hollywood bullshit, or anything that just makes LA look good

I think of "Short Cuts", but that movie is terrible.

Do you mean of the majority or just of your class? Because the majority have the same day to day life which is either working a job they hate, scrounging by on public benefits or just flat out being homeless. Good luck finding any movie about any of those things or that accurately portrays them. Hollywood is one of the most out of touch places on the planet.

just go search for LA vlog on youtube if you want to see what it's like. there's tons of people with cameras walking around LA.

most of those people are just transplants living in west LA/Santa Monica so its not even realiistic

Whatever movie takes place in a third world hell hole

it's like any city but with way more filmography and acting work. there's mechanics, restaurant workers, marketing executives, bankers, all commuting and working and going about their life.
are cities really that much of a mystery?
my personal favorite LA centric movie is harsh times with christian bale, it shows a lot of varied areas of LA and shows the culture from the eyes of chicano gangbangers, to cops, to wealthier wageslave type existences. check it out it's actually really good.

izzy gets the fuck across town

Basically you sit in traffic for like 2 hours go to work in a shitty low building. Drive home for two hours. All the buildings are low and concrete looking. Also if it rains getting to work will take 3 hours and there will be an auto accident ever 15 feet but it almost never rains so its no big deal.

this is what people who have never been to LA actually believe?

I always imagine poor LA as it is portrayed in Blood in Blood out. That movie was made in the mid 90s so I guess it is a lot more like that now.

Its hard to capture the smell. It seriously smells like piss. Im not even memeing. Also the skyline in LA is shit because of all the smog from all the cars. It looks like your going in an alien environment when you start getting close to the city cause the smog in the air above the see. You can actually see it.

Why lie? The smog has cleared up tremendously since the 90s, let alone the 70s
