I'm not trying to defend that show, but you have to admit that the logic is sound. Look at the simpsons or south park. They are both long since out of ideas, but because they have a schedule to keep, they keep pumping out worse, and worse garbage.
Not that I'm saying R&M isn't garbage, but at least it's a passion project.

Seasons 1 & 2 were just enough under the radar to be enjoyable. Season 3 was fun, but the explosion of the fandom into real life, particularly with the Szechuan Sauce incidents, leaves a bad taste in my mouth in regards to the series. I'll probably still try to watch Season 4, but it won't be the same.
