I only saw the first one and I didn't like how all the vampires and werewolves didn't act like vampires and werewolves most of the time. Plus they all used guns, which seems strange to me.

If a new film happens it needs to take a break from the cycle of the Vamp/Wolf war and introduce some new mythology & antagonist.
My idea would be for Selene to go up against a clan of Gillmen invading & infecting small sea side towns. Play up the mystery & mood. Go for some John Carpenter's The Fog kinda vibes. Gillmen are mainly done through practical effects. Maybe have Selene team up with a (female?) Werewolf against them?
Her out of her element even more then she was in Awakening would be interesting, limit the cast & really put her back against the wall with little to no back up.
