Is this the best psychological thriller around?

Is this the best psychological thriller around?
Already know the answer is 'yes'

this is my favourite show and s2/3 are both pleb-filters
tyrell deserves better, poor guy's lost everything

Fight Club and American Psycho are better

Where are the thrills though?

I love Elliot's relationship with Mr Robot. There are seeds for reconciliation now (youtube.com/watch?v=MLofR3poAxE), but the animosity and failed attempts at building bridges was pretty enthralling to watch.
It's actually kind of sad when you re-watch season 1 and see a beautiful scene like pic related, only to now know Elliot really was still alone.

that prison break episode was pretty thrilling

It's pretty damn good. Check this out too OP. same creator, you can feel the Mr robot tier elements in it

thanks Satan, I might do that.
Is it also surreal, or a more straight-forward show?

Just got back from searching "surreal", yeah. Julia works at a rehab for soldiers returning back to normal life, but weird shit is going on at the centre. You might find the final twist underwhelming but the journey to the last episode is tense shit. It's something good to watch while waiting for Mr reddit S4 anyway

Season 3 was the one where angela got all involved with whiterose and shit right?

I'm just wondering if I somehow missed a new season, this is like one of only 4 current shows I give a shit about.

I SEE YOURE RUNNING GNOME

Yes, well sort of.
Angela is mixed up with Whiterose in season 3, but she first gets recruited towards the end of season 2.
Season 3 is also where Angela fucks up massively, if that rings any bells.

I recall some possible time travel fuckery

Perhaps I need to rewatch, when is s4 coming?

Probably worth re-watching, it's been a long-time.
No word on a release date except "2019". Presuming it comes out in the fall, that'll be 2 years since season 3.

S2/3 should have been 1 season, pacing has been atrocious. I hope S4 is good.

How could season 2 and 3 be put together?
Season 3 is very fast-paced and explains a lot of the mystery that season 2 built up.
Season 2 could've maybe been shorter, but there's certainly far too much to put both in one 10 episode series.

hes lost everything but dude is still a psycho.

>tfw never get to try Red Wheelbarrow ribs

>cause yourself to lose everything
>actively cause further damage to this day
>the bitch tears you weep out of self-centered narcissism are still enough to pull sympathy from morons like (You)
shake my damn acronym

Block your path.

what tf i that?

Season 2 felt like a cop-out with the whole prison arc. Kind of annoying, I get it but, still was odd

I stopped watching after s2. Honestly, fuck the writers and the bs they pulled on us. I don't even care if it gets better afterwards.

Why do you think it was a cop-out? It:
1. Allowed for a much more thorough exploration of Elliot's character, and his relationship with Mr Robot.
2. Established the omnipresence of the Dark Army.
3. Gave the rest of the characters more time to be fleshed out, and set up where the themes and plot are headed.
4. Makes Elliot a completely unreliable narrator, setting a tone for the rest of the series.

do they pay you to post that?

Im amazed I managed to get my mum into this show and she actually loved it. Season 2 may have been a bit weird for her though

thats pretty autistic of you to say user. honestly what difference does it make that it was set in a prison? seriously what?
Also Elliot apologised so be nice to him

Watch Prisoners if you are craving a good thriller.
Its from 2013. I watched it recently and thought it was brand new, because why wouldnt i have heard about such an amazing drama?
Great perfomances by Jake Gyllenhal, Hugh Jackman and Poul Dano.
Really felt like a thriller from the golden thriller days of the 90´s.

Thats by the same guy who did Blade Runner 2049 right?
been really wanting to get into more of his stuff

>discussion on a discussion board is shilling
Don't you have 20 Captain Marvel threads to drone in?

It was a fucking waste of my time. Whole S2 was a fucking filler and unlike you I don't find it amusing to get fucked by writers than cant write.

I hate capeshit.

well season 3 was a lot better and would certainly appeal to you more user!

it wasn't his fault his wife was killed by a jealous drunk moron

>no one will ever worship you like Tyrell worships Mr Robot

oh shit. cant wait for new season to start :)

Yep, Denis Villeneuve. Same guy who did Sicario and Arrival as well.
Pretty good track record.
He is also the guy doing the new Dune movie.

Classic.

OP, if you properly labeled your image, I would know this was Mr Robot without having to google clues in the comments.

I still think Sharon Knowles, Mrs. Robot, Joanne, his sister, Angela, the Muslim chick and the drug dealer chick are the same person.

>Mrs. Robot
>his sister
Who do you mean by "Mrs. Robot" if not Darlene?

awful show
