You liked them, didn't you?

As a kid I liked 1 for Feb cool set pieces, battles, light sabres and general star wars-y-ness.

2nd one was boring all over. The coliseum with the hundered jedi was a let down as well at that stage I just wanted the film to end

3rd on I thought was pretty cool for the same reasons as the first but better charter stuff. It's the only one I'd rewatch desu

No

i'm currently rewatching them atm and just finished ep 2
ep 1 is straight up a pretty decent entry in star wars, the only parts i would consider sub par are some of the acting with the kid who played anakin and jar jar can be grating in some scenes
ep 2 is weird, it has a lot of things going on and the movie portrays it happening fairly quickly when i feel like it should take place over a couple months. also hayden did a fine job as anakin the movie makes it clear that the jedi training stunted his emotional growth which is why he acts the way he does
will watch ep 3 tomorrow

Ep 1 a buncha shit happened but ultimately what was the point? Scatter brained.

Ep 2 was boring as fuck and Anakin was moody. Felt like nothing happened.

Ep 3 tried to cram the story of the prequels into one movie because the other 2 failed to carry their weight.

Not really, it had some great, almost fantastic scene scatter through the 3 movies but ultimately it had so much bad shit that it could be saved. I can't remember the last time i saw them but watch the OT once a year at least

I don't like any of em now
but i used to like ep 2 and ep 3
i always hated ep 1

Sort of. They certainly have some great set pieces and music but the characters aren't written well so the prequel story as a whole is not compelling. Specifically, Anakins fall to the dark side is not convincing or engaging because his relationships with Padme and the other Jedi are not sufficiently developed

The Phantom Menace has no reason to even exist though.

3>1>>3 is my favorite star wars movie

nice posters desu

If you take out the pod racing and most of nabu (gunguns & good tricks) it was great, and honestly the 64 podracing game was fun.

Phantom Menace is good. Liam Neesin is good, pod racing is legitimate kino, Maul saber fight is good.

The other two killed Star Wars.

I like them.

Not really. With the exception of Obi Wan, the characters were boring as fuck, and I didn't really like the lore they introduced.

3, 6, 4, 5, 2, 1

I unorinically like them while fully accepting that they have enormous flaws

Unironically yes.

Go fuck yourself.

>Liam Neesin is good
have sex
its makes you less racist

All the droids, vehicles, and ships were cool but I don't like the prequels as films. Hyped up villains like Darth Maul, Jango, and Grievous were completely wasted.

Count Dookie was pretty cool and the battles with druids at the end were nice. Everything else was boring af.

i didn't like 2 but i guess i get why he needed to build up the relationship

anakin being a Hayden in TPM wouldve been netter and wouldve make the jedis have a point saying he was too old
obiwan shouldve been the one finding him in tatooine wich I wouldve change for ord mantell or another planet, instead of a virgin Mary story, his dad would've been a force sensitive who failed the jedi test
the war against the separatist wouldve started right there in naboo
maul wouldve survived and dooku wouldn't be a sith, just a radical jedi allied with the separatist to fight the sith

They weren't perfect, but they were still Star Wars.
Can't say that about the prequels.

Based

Better than OT.

Hell yeah

>take out pod racing
Nigga are you kidding me

it does now

5 6 3 4 1 2

When they first came out, no. I was in high school and university for them, and I didn't like them at the time. I thought they were a disgrace to the original trilogy. However, in the time that's passed, they've grown on me. I've stopped looking at the Star Wars movies as "masterpieces" and instead accepted them as just good movies for all-ages, which the prequels certainly are. All the Star Wars movies have their flaws, even everyone's beloved Empire, and the moment you stop putting them on a pedestal is the moment you can really enjoy them and life in general.

Literally worse than the sequels.

the prequels had better looking actors tho

When I was a kid...

Ep 1 - I liked it on my first viewing. I remember that for some reason I did not notice that Jar Jar talked with that ridiculous speech impediment when I watched it in theaters. When I watched it for a second time on home video I could not stand it. I also remember hating the pod racer scene because it was soo long and boring. When rewatching it I'd find myself falling asleep at that part, so on subsequent rewatches I'd fast forward through that part.

Ep. 2 - I remember liking all the Jango Fett stuff and I "hype" about Yoda's light saber fight. On rewatches, this one is one of the most insufferable because of the Anakin/Padme romance dialogue. However, the Obi-Wan/Jango fight in the ran looks gorgeous in 1080p.

Ep. 3 - Considered it the best of the prequels on release. As a young edgelord at the time, I liked when Anakin killed the younglings. As an adult, it's still one of the better prequel films, but I feel the final saber fight was too long and overindulgent to the point of becoming boring. I still think Grevious is cool, but too bad we didn't get more of him before Obi-wan killed him.

5 > 4 > 6 > power gap > 3 > gap > 2 > 1
