From the time this movie came out until now, I can't get with the pacing of this scene.
Any storyboard creator or cinematographer, LITERALLY ALL OF THEM ON THE PLANET, will tell you that the scene would have played 100% better if he actually spent a few second moving before hitting the big alien. It tracks better, it panels better, it gives the animation more impact.
So basicially this is the worst possible version of the scene, and it's what everyone in production said "Yeah whatever, who cares".

Other anons thought you were asking about the webm you posted but obviously you were asking about the scarjo pistol reload. When she reloads it, you'll notice the slide is not locked back. The slide on a pistol will lock back when you run out of bullets in your magazine. When this happens, you're supposed to eject the mag with the slide still locked back, put in a new mag, and then release the slide to ensure you have a bullet in the chamber. Otherwise you'll have to rack the slide.
Basically, the way scarjo reloads it, she has no bullet in the chamber.
