I think there's more than just this thread, though. The Jazz threads, random meme of the month threads, and shitflinging threads can be pretty funny at times. There's occasional serious movie discussion threads that can be pretty engaging and there's piracy threads that can be pretty useful. This is basically my home on Yea Forums though. It's pretty nice. It has a uniqueness to it because we actually work together to find new movies and watch them at the same time, which is what this board is lacking the most.

Fair point. I guess I was being a bit harsh earlier. It just seems like over the past year or two Yea Forums has taken a nosedive in terms of general quality. Maybe Hiroshimoot is to blame for The Great Division, but I remember coming here in 2016 and 2017 and barely being able to keep up with the number of quality discussions going on. Those Terror threads were fucking great.

The funny thing is that this is normal in Yea Forums culture yet it's banned the same as posting a prolapsed anus and saying "blocks your path". It's fucking stupid. it has been better lately. the speeding threads up does weigh on me because I foolishly volunteered myself for all sorts of responsibilities that are unnecessary, like for instance we haven't had any real problems with bumping lately at all.

the rec directors have some good films in their body of work that aren't FF, I think it's just that rec is so good in the FF style that the non-FF sequels were disappointing

i actually really liked REC3, despite the switch. it was well put together and surprisingly comfy for a horror flick.
and i dont really remember 4 well enough to say, but i remember being very disappointed and also that older angela is still qt.

i would watch some of their non-FF, based on how much i love REC, they've earned it.

Even if you're not shitposting, you've made your mind up and it's clearly not to your taste. The merits of the movie are how it presents the implications of the supernatural elements against the very real things that happen to people lost in the woods, the very realistic performances, the handling of a shoestring budget, the method filmmaking itself with how the directors worked, and the absolute level to which they tried to make it all seem real.

I'm not shitposting. I enjoyed Grave Encounters a ton, REC and maybe like two others. The rest just seem to fall flat when it comes to something that hits enjoyable to me. Hell House LLC felt like they made a haunted house into a movie that's already about a haunted house. The things just stood around and did some shit here and there. That's not creepy at all. That is what Blair Witch feels like, a planned out haunted house where you are supposed to enjoy the ride of dark atmosphere. To me that feels like not much is going to really happen. Its hard to really pin point the words but that would be my best wording.
