Aww, the "critics" didn't like Captain Marvel...

Aww, the "critics" didn't like Captain Marvel, guess that means it's a flop- Oh wait it's actually doing great because the audiences don't care about stupid film critics.

Marvel wins again, baby!

Since it's doing great anyway will I be selling out if I drop the boycott and go see it?

I'll make it very simple and clear: Captain Marvel is really worth a watch. It's just entertaining and visually impressive, exactly what it was meant to be.

Just keep this in mind that it's an origin story so don't go looking for an overstuffed complex story. It's just a fun action movie that introduces us to a new superhero Captain Marvel, played brilliantly by Brie Larson. I became an instant fan watching her in this action heroine avatar, something she manages to pull off with ease. Watch her in the action sequences and there's no way you can't be impressed. Viewers were literally cheering for some of the most heroic moments in the film. Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury is as awesome as always, it's just that his character feels even better and refined than what we've seen. Jude Law is also quite good, and so are Ben Mendelsohn and Lashana Lynch.

But the one character that ultimately steals the show is Goose, the cat. Some of the sequences involving her are so hilarious that it was really difficult to stop laughing.

Visual effects are excellent, and the IMAX 3D viewing just elevated them. And since it's most importantly an action movie, every single action sequence it delivers is impressive, especially the train sequence. I would call it one of the major highlights of the movie. Cinematography in certain portions is really impressive. Humor, like any other MCU movie, is top notch and really manages to make you laugh.

Captain Marvel has a simple-looking origin story presented and executed in a terrific manner. The directors have done a great job with the characterization of Captain Marvel, and that is what makes everything in the film seem so good. The pace is brisk, gore is minimal to no, and there's nothing unsuitable for kids.

It has no legs. I expect it to drop off at 600m at the most. Chadzam will outperform it easily.

hah the incels have already started moving the goalposts

have a look at this virgin

Thanks bruh, I’ll make sure to sneed it

You.

Yes, you. The one screaming, "Alita is sexist" and "Her movie is shit!" and other slurs I dare not mention. Tread lightly.

You are one. We are hundreds, thousands. Millions. You aren't just IN the minority; you ARE the minority.

I don't feel awkward or anxious going to watch Alita at least five times around others, and your words don't affect me. Many others, however, are coming out of their shells for the first time in their lives. This is the first time many are enjoying the beautiful movie that has been made for us - and it IS powerful. Incredibly so. DON'T ruin this for them. We Alita fans may have our differences, but we will not hesitate to come to the aid of our fellow fans, especially against someone who so virulently slurs that which has brought us all together.

Don't take this the wrong way. I don't hate you. I don't fear you.

I pity you....

I'm sorry that you feel this way towards us. I'm sorry that Alita and Cameron are such a bane to your existence. And I'm sorry that you are missing out on such a wonderful experience. Mostly, though, I'm sorry that you feel the need to go around and publicly chastise and berate others. I'm sorry that, to ensure your own validity, you need to make others feel invalid. I'm sorry that your self-worth is so infinitesimally miniscule that you have to make others feel less-than-human, at least in your own denatured mind, just to feel whole. I am truly sorry that day-in and day-out you have to put up with your worthless, meaningless, Shakespearean tragedy of a life.

I ask you politely to cease your unnecessary cries for attention, and instead invite you to join our ranks. Stop watching the new Doctor Who and Dear white people, go to cinema to watch Alita, and breathe in the splendour and the amazement of this movie, and then, maybe, just maybe, you'll see what you've been so hopelessly searching for this whole time.

Go for it, man. No reason not to at this point. We've lost...

>all this gays, basedboys, sjw
WTF with this board?

I'll make it very simple and clear: Bane is really worth a watch. It's just entertaining and visually impressive, exactly what it was meant to be.

Just keep this in mind that it's a plane scene so don't go looking for an overstuffed complex story. It's just a fun plane scene that introduces us to a new superhero CIA, played brilliantly by Aiden Gillan. I became an instant fan watching him in this intelligence agent avatar, something he manages to pull off with ease. Watch him in the plane scene and there's no way you can't be impressed. Viewers were literally cheering for some of the most heroic moments in the film. Tom Hardy as Bane is as awesome as always, it's just that his character feels even better and refined than what we've seen. Josh Stewart is also quite good, and so are Alon Aboutboul and Jonathan Cohen.

But the one jewel that ultimately steals the show is the dialoge, the "big guy for you". Some of the sequences involving CIA and Bane talking are so hilarious that it was really difficult to stop laughing.

Visual effects are excellent, and the IMAX 3D viewing just elevated them. And since it's most importantly a plane scene, every single action sequence it delivers is impressive, especially the on board sequence. I would call it one of the major highlights of the scene. Cinematography in certain portions is really impressive. Humor, like any other Nolan kino, is top notch and really manages to make you laugh.

Bane has a simple-looking premise presented and executed in a terrific manner. The director has done a great job with the characterization of CIA, and that is what makes everything in the film seem so good. The pace is brisk, gore is minimal to no, and there's nothing unsuitable for kids.

The irony is that "poor reviews" for Marvel films are essentially "B-".

Meanwhile Transformers consistently gets D or Fs, at least until Bumblebee which was apparently good for once.

Completely different situation.

>follow a bunch of libertarians on twitter
>about a week from release all of them posting hateful shit about brie and how captain marvel will be shit because of SJW nonsense and blah blah blah
>comment section filled with people saying they're going to skip it because don't support white genocide
>release night and all of them posting ticket stubs saying "will be shit but fuck it, I love marvel too much to skip it"
not sure why I thought libertarians might be the intellectuals of the political world.

its not a left vs right issue
its an incels vs civilization issue

Seeing Disney film is a habit at this point.
I unironically can't remember their last good film.

HO HO HO HO HO HO

Reminds me of the "boycot Call of Duty" group screenshot. We're all gamers here so I'm sure you know the one.

the same boycott they tried with l4d2. yeah, I remember.

This movie's success isn't an endorsement of Leftist identity politics, the vast majority of people who saw the movie didn't do so to "stick it to the incels", they simply wanted to see the latest iteration of Marvel Superhero movie, specifically one that was hyped from Infinity wars, which was a smash hit. Had none of the Leftist identity politics been surrounding this movie it would have done just as well if not even better.

That being said, the backlash has been noticed by Marvel and Leftists alike. Reactions like these are important because it will prevent other, less massive companies from deciding to pander to Leftists. They will see the rage and want to steer clear of it. Furthermore the Leftist identity politics only further galvanize the anti-SJW crowd and will secure Trump's 2020 Presidency.

Leftist propaganda doesn't work the way they want it to, and never will.

who the fuck cares it's a fucking kid's movie

if you care so much you cry about this (don't care if you are for or against, both are pathetic) you are both fucking basedboys

what the fuck is going on with my phone

i said basedboys

WHAT THE FUCK

Dude you need to see a doctor

anyone knows it would make some money because it includes scenes from the next film of the Avengers. That's probably the reason why people are going to see it

It may have made a lot of money but the audience really actually hated it once they saw it and and they are tired of femi- Oops!

as if cinemascore can be trusted after giving Mother! an F.

Ah yes, generic bibilical allegory #4502 is so deserving of high praise.

NO! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!

More deserving of high praise than generic superhero film with no plot.

>Marvel forces every movie theater to take out every movie except this garbage

Gee I wonder why it'll make money

Which is why Mother got an F and Captain Marvel got an A.

Right.

Yea Forums is always wrong

I just want to thank whoever keeps posting the pasta. Watching newfags get actually ANGRY at it is hilarious.

You will never pass

how many tickets did disney buy themselves

Mother is the worst film ever made, so yeah

nice copypasta

Lol my son hates capeshit. I'm so lucky

Going to see this movie right now. Can't wait to take a bite out of this absolute masterpiece.

AFAIK we dont even have non-estimate box office totals from Friday yet alone Saturday, we don't know how its doing yet. Which is itself almost irrelevant in that we knew it was going to do decent from pre-order ticket sales, the more telling bit is the % drop to the second weekend.

This might seem like a reasonable, balanced response but... how about we wait and see how a movie does before making declarations?

Because if I wait and it turns out to be doing great then that's a full week of shitposting I missed out on.

Wow this board is moving fast lately huh?

Don't need to.

It already has. Cry moar

Movie is mediocre, and it's bad because it was hyped. People seem to forget it is made for little kids. The Mouse hype machine is the biggest cancer in the world.

Like 5 seconds

>it is made for little kids
>protagonist is an adult

Pick one.

They’re barrel scraping to promote their film. Disney knows Yea Forums “is duh armpit of duh interwbz” so they come here with this shite!

Amazing that I only ever see garbage posts like yours in Marvel threads.

cast him______________

honestly you can wait until its on TV. she doesn't even use her cool powers until the last 15 minutes of the movie so the big screen isn't really needed.

With the incels supporting Captain marvel. You’re as embarrassing as when you tried to use snowflake against everyone who bestowed it rightfully upon you

Yea Forums and Yea Forums are always wrong, but /pol/ is always right

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson

>/pol/ is always right
Right into the trash, yeah.

Remember all those Yea Forums faggots who used to sneer at us DChads by telling us that the MCU had "normie appeal"?

Well, guess what, Yea Forums...NORMIES LIKE GIRL CAPESHIT. And normies are okay with an all-female Avengers!

OH HA HA HA etc.

Attached: GG Dance lol.gif (245x200, 1.96M)

considering no one is ever able to refute what /pol/ says, and instead they just say fuck off and other things like that, yea im going to assume /pol/ is always right when this happens.

Imagine being this deluded.

point proven!

>/pol/ blames jews for everything
>jew scumbags are ALWAYS involved with shit like this EVERY TIME
>lol /pol/ is wrong and you are deluded
get out discord tranny

Ah, so that's how you "prove" your easily debunked nonsense. Thought so.

>YouTube changes algorithm
>RT redesign
>RT stops accepting reviews below threshold
>"Journalists" in a tizzy
>Twitter in a tizzy
>Half empty theaters
>Prelude to the biggest soi-movie ever

Fuck I'd hate to see us win

>despite your best efforts to make the movie flop you accomplished nothing
>YouTube has power over you
>RT has power over you
>Disney has power over you
>/pol/ in a tizzy
>incels in a tizzy
>MCU films keep making more and more money

Thankfully you will never see anything resembling a win ever again.

Disney booking entire theaters doesn't actually make Disney money.

>blurry photo of a couple seats
Wow this is some good "proof" incel.

Have a sex

Have a crow.

>YouTube has power over you
>RT has power over you
>Disney has power over you
and this makes you...happy? you enjoy being controlled?

Power over YOU. Not me.

how do they have power over only one of us?

>origin story
>doesn't even establish the character's superhero name
Who greenlit this?

They can stop you from posting negative reviews. They can't stop me from posting positive reviews.

>unironically believing /pol/ is always right

You guys are the low IQ people you despise

Wait until you find out about Wonder Woman.

I don't post any reviews though and I think you've missed my point. but either way I suppose you don't care about being controlled as long as the people controlling you let you have your way, lets just hope they keep that up for your sake :)

Yeah I legit thought they were just joking until he made that post. He actually thinks that. Holy shit.

>:)
Lmao you are seething. Your blood is absolutely boiling right now. This is great.

the happy face is an attempt to convey a sickly sweet tone that you can't really do over the computer.

This fool thinks he is Disney... not just a pathetic fan boy of a corporation that never heard of him.

Cope

no im 100% certain that is you. 110% even

>Annette Bening is Mar-Vell, the OG captain marvel
>AND the supreme intelligence

Aaaand you owned yourself.

Haha whatever, shut up faggit

What's the production + marketing budget, sweet cheeks?

is this all you have left?

Debunk it!

Wait, really? I thought Jude Law was supposed to be Mar-Vell. I'd been passing this information around, now I have to tell a whole bunch of people it's not the case.

Just saw a report on tv. They said Captain Marvel is projected to create an upturn in a poor year start at the box office. Like Black Panther before it, it could uptick a weak year. Studios were worried that 2019 could be another bad year in box office sales, so they were banking on Captain Marvel to power up the year.

Then they showed the slate of upcoming Marvel movies that Captain Marvel is leading the hype for.

Attached: IMG_20190309_212608.jpg (640x480, 82K)

>meme word, lol I win!

You literally have not actually made a single claim. No wonder you falsely think you're winning, you just scream nonsense, hope the other side eventually gives up, and claim victory.

I don't believe it has made a single real dollar yet. All the tricks with the empty "fully booked" theaters make me think Disney rigged the opening night to make it seem like a success, hoping to turn that into hype that would in turn become actual success. The old "people buy Top 10 music because it's on Top 10, so let's just bullshit the whole list" gambit.

Why would Joey Salads lie?

my claim was quite clear and in my first post actually "/pol/ is always right"

The fuck, I thought Far From Home wasn't coming until next year. That just makes it even more weird that they keep saying Endgame is the "final" MCU movie. I think journalists really want the MCU to actually be over so they keep spreading this lie even though we're far from done.

Cope.

About what?
>in before more vague nonsense and no specific claims

>Aww, the "critics" didn't like Captain Marvel
...but they did? Am I missing something?

Like a downward spiral, ouch!

>!
>!
>!

You're getting desperate I see.

everything?

>in after more vague nonsense and no specific claims

my claim was quite specific actually /pol/ is always right. all you need to do to refute this claim is provide me with 1 (1) example of when /pol/ was wrong, surely thats something you can do?

It's the final phase 3 mcu film. Then phase 4 begins...

The new mid term election you stupid nigger
Also with macron and le pen,and the French riot
/Pol/ are just outrage babbies, same as Tumblr

lBut you're the one who thinks /pol/ is always right.

Is ok to be white ;).

/pol/is always right

What if I have an armpit fetish though?

Boom. You just roasted that fucking /pol/tard beyond belief. Wouldn't be surprised if he closed the thread.

the mid term election? what were they wrong about there? and macron? he turned out to be the piece of shit they said he was didn't he?

so did anyone provide any reason why this was happening? anything to claim its a hoax? I saw like three threads about this shit and it seems like in all the shitposting people forgot about it

They never have any proof of anything. You should know this by now.

But it seemed clear something funky was happening. Am I going to conclude that a large portion of the box office numbers are falsefied? for what purpose ?

BASED

there is something that i cant just get.
>online ratings are being tempered
>Theatres are almost empty, but box is doing great according to the numbers.
>Marketing is fucking everywhere.

Something is super shady here and is not just money laundry. You can do that shit without all the marketing and bullshit. In fact, you will be able to do this shit a lot better with a smaller and obscure movie.

All that shit you just listed is just the same conspiracy bullshit you guys used on Black Panther, except you've had a year to refine it so now you have something that sounds slightly more convincing to brainlets, while still not resembling reality. Anecdotal evidence doesn't mean jack shit.
