Just finished the Pilot of the miniseries...it was fucking kino and I cannot wait to watch the 4 seasons. Is the original series worth watching too after I finish the remake? And the spinoffs?

First 2 seasons are incredible.
Last 2 seasons are mediocre/bad.
There are too many parallel. non-sensical, and unrelated plot lines going on which ultimately drag out the series to the point of boredom.
Also the writer's strike didn't help.
