>I just thought, Luke’s never going to see his best friend again. >I said that it was a big mistake that those three people would never reunite in any way. >Luke, Han and Leia will never be together again, and I’ll probably never get to work with Harrison again.
>They had me walking by 3PO, not even acknowledging him. I said: “I can’t do that! He (Rian Johnson) said, “Okay, go over and do whatever.” So I went over, and I did whatever.
>They say it in the script: “Forget the past, kill it if you have to”, and they’re doing a pretty good job!
>They had me walking by 3PO, not even acknowledging him. I said: “I can’t do that! He (Rian Johnson) said, “Okay, go over and do whatever.” So I went over, and I did whatever. >(Rian Johnson) said, “Okay, go over and do whatever.” >"yeah yeah, do whatever you nostalgia faggot" *rolls eyes* This guy, unironically, should be executed.
>”Forget the past, kill it if you have to”, and they’re doing a pretty good job! Kek, how did Disney not expect this to bite them in the ass? >But it was said ironically by the villain! Oh please, Rian and Kathleen knew what they were doing. They only backtracked because it fucking failed.
Adrian Johnson
It worked though People forgot the past so hard that nobody cared enough to watch the Han Solo prequel
Jose Scott
>nobody cared enough to watch the Han Solo prequel >kill the past >the fans listened >thus Solo flopped
Christopher Richardson
>Forget the past >Kill this franchise if you have to BRAVO DISNEY
Just started playing KotOR and it’s breddy gud but which one is the TORtanic? Is KotOR II gud?
Camden Kelly
>white men are SO over! it's time to step aside. >omg why are they dismantling my iconic white male character?! he's an idiot if he didn't expect this
Henry Roberts
It’s just unbelievable to not have even a small scene with Han, Leia and Luke reuniting. Even if your whole point was to expan demographics no one would object to that. And I refuse to believe the people that run Disney are that stupid so it has to be on purpose
Robert Torres
>make luke a piece of shit >make han a piece of shit >replace the strong white male characters with super more strong Leia who's a force god now >she dies in real life
haha
Benjamin Davis
Lel balance literally restored in the world. Poor Carrie Fisher though, but it was the Trump curse that got her

Thanks user. Maybe I’ll pick up KotOR II when I’m done. I think Star Wars’ death started with that bomb though.
Asher Perry
Carrie Fisher went on a coke bender she knew would kill her just so that she wouldn't have to do the press-tours for TLJ. Family Guy will never be the same without her
Evan Hughes
>waaahhhhh I didn't get to make the sequel trilogy an even bigger fanwank”
>suggests one of the best parts of working on the OT were the improvised moments >complains when rian gives him the go ahead to do whatever
Connor Morgan
>Luke, Han and Leia will never be together again, and I’ll probably never get to work with Harrison again. And that's the point, because they want to push the shitty new characters and the old characters "reuniting" would overshadow that

You babies can cry about green milk and not getting your feelgood trio reunion till the end of time, I don't give a fuck.
THIS is the Luke Skywalker I worshiped as a child brought to life and it meant more to me than whatever infantile power fantasy you or mark hamill would have come up with.
No, you missed the point. Rian didnt realize how important it was and even while he acknowledged it he just said, "yeah whatever go ahead" instead of trying to understand why it's so important. If he took the time to understand why something like that is so important then perhaps his handling of Luke and actually the entire film would've been more in keeping with Star Wars.
Camden Fisher
wow it's a good thing that the movie portrays Luke's hermit act as pathetic and ultimately a shield he is putting up because of trauma over his past failures and him re-becoming the true Jedi we all know he is is what the movie is about!
This is, of course, anathem to you if the idea of Luke failing is just infuriating because muh badass childhood hero can do no wrong
Jayden Stewart
> “Okay, go over and do whatever.” This implies that Rian doesn't care. A director that doesn't care about the lore / nuance / relationship of the characters in a story that he's directing means he's shit at his job. >Forget the past, kill it if you have to >tfw forgot about OT >tfw forgot about prequels >OT and prequels gone = no star wars >no star wars = why the fuck are they making a movie starting with Episode IX? I'm not gonna watch it.
Blake Perry
Played through every single class storyline while recovering from back surgery. No regrets.
Jaxson Jones
Strawman argument
Matthew Stewart
that it was not realised that Luke Skywalker might want to acknowledge C3PO after a long absence is bad enough. These people have no understanding of the established characters.
The OT trio not reuniting was entirely on JJ, though. As was having Luke fuck off to nowhere 6 years prior
Gavin King
Imagine sucking this much Disney dick.
Ethan King
It really isn't, though. You dress it up in fancy words like MUH HERO WOULD NEVER DO THAT (ignoring that this is literally what the film is about) and HE WAS A COMPLETED CHARACTER and that he conquered temptation as a pure concept at the end of RotJ, but it is ultimately just being unwilling to accept that Luke Skywalker could make a mistake.
Hunter Richardson
>a shield he is putting up because of trauma over his past failures >failed once >gave up because of it
Gabriel Hall
>unwilling to accept that Luke Skywalker could make a mistake >alternate script >Luke Skywalker inexplicably raped Ben in his sleep and proceeded to cannibalize all his other students >W-Why you sad he made a-a mistake?
Mark just needs to fuck off at this point. He's just an actor and had nothing to do with the development of the Star Wars movies.
Isaac Williams
>had nothing to do with the development of the Star Wars movies
Wyatt Martin
>being unwilling to accept that Luke Skywalker could make a mistake. no. yoda and obi-wan made mistakes in not trusting luke enough. that's not the problem. the problem is that old grumpy hermit luke doesnt follow a proper archetype. this is a space fairy tale after all, which neither you nor rian johnson get.
Maybe if Rian actually did his job it wouldn't be a problem
Andrew Jackson
KotOR II was made on an incredibly tight schedule and wasn't really finished. Similar situation to Fallout New Vegas by the same developer. Make sure to use The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod. It's a great game, despite its production difficulties.
I honestly thought this scene was amazing. What about this bothers people, the fact that he didn't cut all the at-sts in half on foot?
Hudson Flores
>Carrie Fisher went on a coke bender she knew would kill her just so that she wouldn't have to do the press-tours for TLJ. I honestly can't say I blame her. I'd rather die on the coke horse than have to promote that piece of shit.

watch the movie in high quality and screencap them yourself. good advice since 90% of the people in this thread shitting on it haven't even watched it

>anakin >born a slave. rescued and brought up in strict religious sect that sees him as a messiah. finds love only for her to die in childbith after seeing it over and over again in visions. turns to the dark side on the fruitless path to save her and is left scarred and broken and serving a master that he hates until his son eventually helps him find redemption. >luke >finds out that his mortal enemy is his own father and eventually redeems him. tries to reestablish the jedi order and fails when his own nephew turns to the dark side and slaughters his students. becomes bitter old man and never reunites with his friends or family and eventually joins the force (dies) willingfully in hopes that his death and last act will bring hope to the galaxy.
How is this not fitting of him? Did you honestly expect happy old luke teleporting around kicking ass and everybody getting a happy ending? This is Star Wars.
John Gonzalez
>This is Star Wars. I get what you were going for, but to most people that doesn't mean what you seem to think it does.
Most people don't understand that Star Wars is a shakespearian screenplay, not a movie either.
Jose Hall
THE FACT HE'S NOT REALLY THERE YOU IDIOT.
Nathan Lopez
Did you honestly expect him to levitate the x-wing out of the water, dry it off and fly there and actually get there in time to help? I bet you think he died from overexertion or some shit too instead of force-suiciding like Obi-Wan so he can haunt Kylo in the next movie.
They knew exactly what they were doing, and they know their supporters are NPCs who will never stand up for quality, but they underestimated the love of actual fans for SWs, their arrogance undid them.
Tyler Stewart
If it's truly Shakespearian then why are we suffering through shitty actresses when all the parts should be played by men?
Robert Stewart
That oversight should never happen because it's incredibly bad writing
You can quickly read through a script and check to see everyone is acting in character
It's like chewie and leia ignoring each other after han died. What the fuck
Luke Smith
Sorry George
Leo Cooper
>breddy gud > gud? You're a faggot user but both kotor games are great
This. It's why reports that Rian only had one draft are credible; there are simply so many gaping issues that any competent proof reading would have caught instantly.
Connor Wood
There's more creativity in this picture than all of nu wars combined.
Blake Smith
>Is KotOR II gud? Kriea is the best character in any videogame ever.
" "It is good that you have never wondered what lay beneath her robes, if her alabaster skin was as white and unblemished as her face. Or if perhaps she bore the scars of slavery... and if that would stir you more. Perhaps her deferent tone would change once you held her by the throat, and showed her how far a Jedi can fall."
Chase Martinez
>Did you honestly expect him to levitate the x-wing out of the water, dry it off and fly there and actually get there in time to help? I bet you think he died from overexertion or some shit too instead of force-suiciding like Obi-Wan so he can haunt Kylo in the next movie. Him doing that and letting people know he can't do it on his own, but he can help and he was no longer running away would have been nice. Luke Skywalker never would have abandoned his friends in the first place but whatever.
Sadly Luke wasn't reunited with Han in any version of the script for TFA. There will probably be a flashback with Han and Luke in IX because Rian Johnson opted to cut the flashback sequence that TLJ was going to open with, showing a younger Han bringing kid Ben to Luke's Academy for Jedi training.
There was going to be a lot more about Kylo's past in VIII, but ultimately we ended up with the one flashback where Luke ignites the lightsaber on Ben to take up less time. Which is a damn shame because we would've had more scenes with Luke, Han and Leia in TLJ if Rian hadn't thrown all that out the window early on.
