>nothing happens all the time

???

It's also the only one that follows the books. Show went downhill starting in Season 2 and never recovered.

>what each POV character does immediately effects the others
>good compelling plot
>each episode feels significant
vs
>POV characters all fuck off and all doing different things
>each episode progresses each plot by a tiny bit
>episodes can't commit to one plot in detail

beside arya being a gipsy all the other plots stay linked to each other, all happenings determine the actions of other people

S6 & 7 are still better than 5. It's literally the low point of the series aside from that one episode when The Night Chad to fuck shits up and maybe the part when Jon Snow chopping off Janos 'no friend in the court' Slynt's head.

And a fair trial? AYE SHABBOZE..... THATSH OFF THE TABLE ASH WELL!?

Attached: 1522624256036.jpg (250x242, 3K)

See, that's why I rate S7 so low. S5 at least had a few good moments like that, along with Jon and Stannis interactions. S7 literally had nothing.

Just another day in life I guess.

Fair point. I guess the parts when Stannis and Jon interacting is pretty good too. I kinda wish they actually form some sort of mentor-apprentice relation kind of thing. Maybe it will further motivate Jon to actually take up his responsibility as King in the North more seriously, as part of 'saving the realm' thing.

daenerys raid vs jaimie, expedition beyond the barrier and ice dragon blowing the barrier were cool (fire breath doesn't work like that tho)

Working with Dillane seemed to up Kit's game. Kid finally got some gorms in S5.

Truth be told the main reason I am looking forward for S8 is too see this two for one last time. I hope Jaime gets his redemption/kill Cersei/who knows maybe survive. Perhaps Bronn can finally catch a break and get his castle and sigil (he has one in the book) already.

LEGIT SPOILERS:
everyone dies apart from jamie

It's already played an important part, and the main reason why Howland Reed is one of the major behind the scenes chess masters of the series.

>last two books
I found a flaw in your premise.

>oops look like i wrote way too many plotlines to feasibly wrap up
>guess ill fuck some black girls
dare i say... based?

I always enjoy this post
Kino

Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING that has happened in Westeros is all according to a master plan set into motion by Howland Reed.

Where was Howland Reed before the story began? Even before Robert's Rebellion?

The Isle of Faces. He spent years there, treating and training with the Green Men. Using Green Seeing, he saw what was to come. The return of the Others. Westeros' impending doom. His visions also showed him what had to be done to save the realm.

So where did he go immediately after leaving the Isle of Faces?

The Tournament at Harrenhal, the largest tournament that the realm had seen since Aegon first united it. Where else would he fine the players he needed for his plan?

Howland bested by three squires? The man that killed Arthur Dayne? Not fucking likely. All a part of his ruse to get in good with house Stark, who Howland saw in his visions as key players in this. He then "prays" for someone to avenge him, and magically The Knight of the Laughing Tree shows up. It's said Lyanna was half a horse herself, and she was much like Arya. For evidence, see when Bran enters the Weirwood.net. He sees her and Benjen play fighting. Lyanna bests the knights in charge of the squires, and Aerys sends Rhaegar to uncover this mysterious challenger. Rhaegar is inspired by her, though, hence crowning her, hence running off with her, hence all that rebellion business.

Howland Reed made sure Jon Snow was born. I know /got/ hates it, but it's been telegraphed that he's a Targ since the first book. Howland knew he was instrumental in stopping the Others. Look at what he's been doing at the Wall already (aside from dying). On top of that, when Rhaegar refers to The Prince Who Was Promised, he mentions the song of Ice and Fire.

When we first meet the Reed Children, what do they swear their loyalty by?

Ice and Fire.

It fucking fits.

Can’t wait to see more of his God Acting in the final season. Hopefully he is somewhat happy now.

I miss when we posted crazy theories like this.

Reminder Jon, Aegon, and Daenerys are triplets.

>Goes up to a pleading Cersei and stabs her through her stomach and his unborn child

this would destroy jaimes entire redemption arc. you cant kill an unborn innocent child and expect normies to be ok with it.

he had to kill cersei tho, thats the whole point.

they hated cersei's kids

>actual non autist spoilers
>posts autist spoilers
what did user mean by this

As much as D&D butchered the show in general, their battle sequences were always top notch. Considering most of S8 is going to be various large scale battles, it may actually be pretty enjoyable.

have you seen what these other niggers are posting? what i posted is whats going to happen so screen cap it

probably no more than 2-3 battles tho
night king keeps all his troups together so there can only be one resolutive battle
maybe against cersei there will be more battles in different areas but the ideal strategy is to attack them full power right about after they are done with the undeads

Season 4 has a lot more hogwash than seasons 1 2 and 3.
Unless you enjoyed Asha- sorry, YARA's epic dog retreat
And also how badly they blundered Tywin's death scene

Jon is Dayne, Daenerys is Blackfyre, Aegon is Ice and Fire, Varys is Brightflame, Ned is dildos.

I one hundred percent think Jon is going to be revealed to be a Dayne in the books since they cut out the scene where Mance plays the song about them on his harp when Jon enters his tent.

I'm not too up to speed on the theories. Brightflame?

She's so much more fun in the books. Her snarks are some of the best dialogue in FoC.

Favorite character:

Worst character:

>Bran is involved in a major way
this entire series is an allegory for nuclear weapons and the consequences of their use, of course Bran is going to be involved. His powers derive from the direct metaphor of the CotF using "nukes" to win the war.
also why the fuck are dothraki considered so OP? They're non armored non range cavalry units. Just longbow the shit out of them lmao

>frogfu
>not attractive
Nigga you gay

Attached: Ellie 1.gif (268x200, 882K)

In the show?
Favorite character is Jaime
Worst character is forever Ros the Whore

>why the fuck are dothraki considered so OP?
they outnumber every other army and the fighting skill of the single units is much higher compared to the westeros fuckbois
as long as there is dragon support to break formations that could fuck up cavalry, and as long as they stick to wide field battles instead of guerrilla, they will be unmatched
winter will probably fuck them up tho, they don't seem too prepared with their gay leather suits

Yes that one little scene and not the billion things foreshadowing R+L=J. And there’s the fact that the jews spread the Jon parentage thing out over so many seasons (he still doesn’t know so it’s been pretty much a huge central part of the plot since season six-eight) because they are trying to make the most out of GRRMs big idea, this was the only thing they ever liked besides the Red Wedding and Ned dying so early.

show only since it's Yea Forums
Mark Addy did a brilliant job of making King Robert come to life. Easily the most enjoyable character in season one and very few characters throughout the series come close. I would say Ned, Bronn, and Ramsay come close in terms of writing and acting.

Worst is hard to choose, there are so many butchered characters. Theon's "redemption" arc sucks compared to what he's been through. The entire Dorne plot a shit. Bran's story is very poorly written and Dany's entire schtick got old after season 2.

Good post

Fave is Stannis
Worst is probably Obara or another side character but the one who annoys me most is Arya from season five and on. She takes the cake with worst scenes in the show from season six with her fight and declaration that she’s going home.

in season one Robert makes a point to say the Dothraki would win if fought on a field, and given the numbers point you brought up I would agree they would win. But much of Westeros isn't flat open fields right? The riverlands are marshy, the stormlands look rough and hilly. Only the reach and crownlands would really be exposed.
I admittedly know very little about battle tactics and how armies would prepare in these types of fights so if I'm wrong pls explain why

You know what I mean
Both books come out in one of those plastic wrapped 2 pack book bundles you can get at Barnes and Noble.
In the books yes Bran is important and one of my favs. In the show Bran is boring and sucks and sits around in a wheelbarrow all day creeping on his sisters

>yag sbarro

aaagghh...

Attached: 1503380516390.png (590x559, 480K)

there's a Dr. Manhattan/Bran shoop out there somewhere, wish I saved it

it's not a matter about how hilly or flat the whole westeros kingdom is
the story is set at a point in history where wars are still settled with big campal battles and not with small skirmish actions, all the battles we've seen until now were like that
we can only make deductions about how guerrilla tacticts and long range weapons are still underdeveloped
it seems like this mixed with a strong "honorable battle" attitude from most army leaders shown until now can only leads to big battles in open field
in theory the north would be unbeatable using the territorial knowledge advantage + weather + guerrilla tactics but that's not their game

Top five favourite houses lads? Mine are: Daynes, Greyjoys, Baratheons, Hightower, and Dondarrion.

Favorite character: I absolutely love show Bronn. He's a literal who that slipped through the cracks and is now part of the main cast. He has only gotten by on his own opportunism and cunning. Also, despite being deeply amoral and greedy, he does show that he has a better moral compass than most.I just find him really endearing, especially given how long he's lasted.
Worst character: Easily Dany.

Based

His name was Aerion Brightflame. I believe he was Maester Aemon and Eggs older brother. But was a mad fucker. He was exiled for a time in Lys ( where Varys is from ). He broke a girls fingers for having a dragon die in her puppet show. He was the person who died by drinking wildfire mentioned by Joffrey in the show. He sired children while in exile at the place where Varys is from. Also in the show Oberyn in the conversation infront of the throne with Varys see's through his lies and says Varys is from Lys which shocks Varys and says he went out of his way to lose the accent. Varys always tells people how as a child he clawed his way up on the streets of Myr ( which is true ) but always leaves out his origin and his time prior to arriving at Mry. There was a prophecy Dany was told to beware of dragons 'bright' and Dark, young and old etc. But people always forget the bright.

Also Aerion Brightflame was so mad he snuck into 'Eggs' chambers in the middle of night and threatened to turn him into a Eunuch so he'd have a sister that he could wife. Ironically the last of his line is Varys the eunuch.

People always forget about Aerion Brightflame for some reason and the children he sired in Lys and the warning that Dany was told to beware of a dragon that was identified as Bright.

>normies don't love abortion

Pacing is the least of this show's problems.

Blackfyre
Brightflame
Targaryen

The dragon has three heads. Maybe it means three surviving branches?

sneed

Now here's a theory that's got legs.

>amoral
he has mercenary morals, he could run the moment the situation gets out of hand but instead he always sticked with the guy hiring him
he didnt accept to fight the mountain, sure, but he didnt get out halfway through it to save his own ass
against the dragon, what would have been the wisest thing? he was already paid, he should have run away the moment he saw how the battle was starting, instead he stayd to save jaimie's ass
that's pretty strong dedication, he's not an idiot but far from amoral

>I absolutely love show Bronn. He's a literal who that slipped through the cracks and is now part of the main cast. He has only gotten by on his own opportunism and cunning. Also, despite being deeply amoral and greedy, he does show that he has a better moral compass than most.I just find him really endearing, especially given how long he's lasted.
based, Bronn feels like a character that could be messed up with to much comic relief but he was just done so well. I don't think ive met anyone who does't like bronn as a character.

I interperated it as three leaders of whats left over or the three to lead during the long night. There are plenty of king arthur influences in Jaimes story. Deception in conception, red comets, Pendragon.

Pendragon means head dragon or head of the dragon. And the king acts as the head while the people the body. Or his armed force the body.

It would also be a good way for the Targaryens to avoid civil war within in the family to have multiple voices, a bit inspired by old valyria and how it was ruled over by the dragon lords like a senate of sorts. But seeing as there is only one dragon lord family left and in westeros instead of a ruling king it would be wise to copy the old valyria method of ruling but within the family.

But yea King Arthurs father was Uther Pendragon / Uther Head Dragon / Uther head of the dragon.

I do believe in the three surviving branches though. Targaryen, Blackfyre and Brightflame ( not an official family name but a given name like stormborn ) but a branch all the same.

Show Bronn takes the good Bronn from the books and starts writing him opposite because 'DAAWWWWWWWWW~

I don't begrudge him for it any of it. I was more referring to the fact that he's willing to do a lot of things for money, like when he said he'd kill babies for money.

it's too bad the show couldn't adapt part of his story in the books which involves him swiping a fookin castle through sheer madladdery. cersei's reaction to it is hilarious

what?

This was an act to trick the imp.
