Lets be clear Captain Marvel was made specifically to cater to little GIRLS

It was not made for fans of MCU or the comics. Disney forced Marvel studio to create a movie that can cater to the other 50% of the populace. This will in turn sell lots of Captain Marvel merchandize. Just go to any twitter feed and you'll see every other little girl dressing in Captain Marvel attire and moaning about how they look up to this shitty character.

I'll make it very simple and clear: Captain Marvel is really worth a watch. It's just entertaining and visually impressive, exactly what it was meant to be.

Just keep this in mind that it's an origin story so don't go looking for an overstuffed complex story. It's just a fun action movie that introduces us to a new superhero Captain Marvel, played brilliantly by Brie Larson. I became an instant fan watching her in this action heroine avatar, something she manages to pull off with ease. Watch her in the action sequences and there's no way you can't be impressed. Viewers were literally cheering for some of the most heroic moments in the film. Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury is as awesome as always, it's just that his character feels even better and refined than what we've seen. Jude Law is also quite good, and so are Ben Mendelsohn and Lashana Lynch.

But the one character that ultimately steals the show is Goose, the cat. Some of the sequences involving her are so hilarious that it was really difficult to stop laughing.

Visual effects are excellent, and the IMAX 3D viewing just elevated them. And since it's most importantly an action movie, every single action sequence it delivers is impressive, especially the train sequence. I would call it one of the major highlights of the movie. Cinematography in certain portions is really impressive. Humor, like any other MCU movie, is top notch and really manages to make you laugh.

Captain Marvel has a simple-looking origin story presented and executed in a terrific manner. The directors have done a great job with the characterization of Captain Marvel, and that is what makes everything in the film seem so good. The pace is brisk, gore is minimal to no, and there's nothing unsuitable for kids.

She qt. Rather she was CM than Brie Lardtoes

These girls are going to be so disappointed when they pick up a captain marvel comic and find out she's a fascist bull dyke that runs her own Guantanamo bay, and that she has zero charisma and nothing endearing about her.

It's strange that they never take a property that girls like and say "we really need to change this so that it appeals to boys." You wouldn't see them go "alright, for Frozen 2, we'll scrap Elsa and instead the main character is Eric, a guy who has ice AND fire powers that all the characters love and who is better than Elsa in every way."

I really feel bad for girls then.

>Humor, like any other MCU movie, is top notch
Do normies actually enjoy the MCU quips?

Well then, little girls must be fucking stupid

>fans of MCU

oh no, you poor mongoloids

Nice shill pasta

>Lets be clear Captain Marvel was made specifically to cater to little GIRLS

Why would little girls want to watch a boring middle-aged bitch whine about how unfair her life is? Little girls want to watch magical princesses and animals, not shit like that.

>Just go to any twitter feed and you will see every other little girl dressing in Captain Marvel attire

I'll take "things that never happened" for $500, Alex!

>specifically to cater to little GIRLS
>for fans of MCU or the comics

These two things are not mutually exclusive.

These little girls are so brainwashed by consumerism, they see captain marvel promo, they think girl power you go girl, combined with a tocken black side chick. They think they got their own version of Captain America.

based and redpilled, fuck the MCU and FUCK CAPESHIT

>specifically to cater to little GIRLS
just like me

you talk like a fag and your shit's all retarded

I littered faceberg with this shitty pasta.

This is a copypasta review used on RT

You don't need to alienate boys to cater to girls.
Sailor Moon, Sakura Cardcaptors, Magic Knight Rayearth, Oniisama e.., Candy Candy, Hana no ko Lunlun and many other shoujo/maho shoujo series were made by women for little girls, and I enjoyed them. I finished the first four and watched random chapters of the other two as a kid, also a few from Little Women; heck, even the Robinson and Heidi had female leading characters and that never stopped me from watching it when I was a kid. It's not my favorite genre, I'm more of a shounen guy, but I occasionally watch this kind of shows and have fun.
The thing is, in Japan they just do an entertaining show disregarding who they aim it at. And thus you have guys that like shoujo and gals that like shounen; I know many women who love Dragon Ball and Saint Seiya.
In USA, instead, it seems as if you can't do something for little girls without making a whole political statement that, frankly, many of the girls who will be watching it don't care about.

>and I enjoyed them.

Says more about you than it says about those shows. Really says a lot about fags who watch anime in general.

No it was not. This woman writer can't be a parent.

Yeah, except that this time instead of 50% of the population spending their money on merchandise, 50% of the population is spending the other 50%s money on it.

outdated white boy opinion shit thread

You think they'll buy the comics? They don't care. Most of the people watching this movies don't care. How is it that there are millions of people watching them worldwide, yet the comics still have only a few thousand prints on each run?
In fact, even talking about movies alone the whole superheroes craze will one day be gone, and everyone will move to the next big thing. Nevertheless, I don't mind it in the movies as much, after all, "normies" are a huge portion of their audience and they deserve to be catered to. But comic books survived to these days because countless of young men spent their money on them, and the companies are turning their backs on them, telling them that they are not wanted and gradually fucking up each of the characters they grew up with. Men that were ridiculed for decades because of liking comic books by the same idiots that think the movies are cool because a random celebrity is featured on them.

>the fucking 21st marvel movie
why do we still care.
why

You'd be surprised. I'm an incel and a lost case, but I know people from a Sailor Moon fanclub that runs since the 90s. I'm not a part of it, but I hang out with many of them after conventions.
Most of them are married and have kids, or living together in a couple. In fact, from the 9 or 10 guys I hang out with, only 2 of us have no girlfriends whatsoever, and funnily enough we are the 2 that don't really belong to that fanclub.

Hate to say I told you so, but I actually told you so.

Solid point. Nobody says “we should make another Sex in the City movie... but this time the main character is Mr Big!”

this has got to be the most annoying MCU flick to date
>it's a prequel
>another "protect the infinity stone" movie even though that storyline has already concluded
>retconned a character into the story no one really asked for
>comes out a month or so before Endgame
>massive shill campaign on Yea Forums
this is not okay

its slightly more than 50%. also there was some report out a few years ago that the majority of spending being done was by women. about then is when this whole current girl power shtick we've gotten out of movies began.
they dont actually care about anything. it's all about where the most money is available

>never relevant opinion from a gurl

This is not made to be a monster hit now. If they wanted to do that they would have made Aquaman with Alita in the lead. THIS IS AN INVESTMENT.

This movie is made for little girls...that in 5-10 years time will be fully indoctrinated into misandry and matriarchy. They will capitalize massively on the property then - like Iron Man has for Marvel..."Well she was awfully controversial when the first one was released, but now we can see that she was just ahead of the curve..."

This is a gamble, but it's also shaping the consciousness of future viewers by layering in the messaging both within the film and within the media machine that supports the narrative. The studio will lose a little bit on this one (more than they'd prefer), but they'll play it safe on Infinity War and make $2billion+. Feige is smart, but I disagree with this plan. It's cynical and it's ideologically sick.

How important is this movie in regards to endgame?

That's the problem, political propaganda aimed at kids.

Spoilers.

>to cater to little GIRLS
True that

the real endgame is white genocide

Girls prefer shit like pic related, to the sterile soulless garbage these morons push in an fruitless attempt to change their nature.

Is the message of the movie that "it's ok if you are really really bad at whatever you do. people criticizing you over it are just mad that you're a girl. Eventually sheer luck and the support from a close group of people will make you succeed, you won't have to put forth any effort to improve."

>woman exists
>political propaganda

>"to cater to little GIRLS"
>rated pg13
What kind of bullshit is this?

>Honey, could you pose in front of that poster?
>But mom, I want to go inside
>Just listen to mom, I need some likes

Also that Mouse laughing with sales on top
