In my experience cats are either apathetic/indifferent or outright aggressive towards me. I've run into a few that were nice/playful. Whereas with dogs it's the other way around, most almost take off like a helicopter with how fast their tails wag when they see you. Yeah cats are good vermin killers but dogs have had many more applications in their coexistence with man.
