Twilight Zone was so based that Hollywood has been using and abusing its stories to this day. Nothing will touch it and Ill probably avoid the new one..

Lack of someone with the goddamn creativity and magic that Rod had. This guy wrote over 100 episodes by himself and most of them were great. However, here's the issue
Rod had to keep fighting to keep the show alive past it's first season, and by the fifth season he outright said he didn't really want to make any more of them. In order for this century Kino to happen you'd need someone driven, creative and smart, but also someone who knows when he needs to stop and just move on or find another head writer, does that sound like anyone currently working?

I don't think he'll be bad, I think he'll be forgettable. Rod Sterling made a bunch of heavy progressive episodes and everyone's always shocked when you bring them up because they're so forgettable.

00 series also had some good episodes. Higher quantity of shit / good though.

Old SciFi was good stuff.

but even shows that didn't have his creative force were smart enough to hire good suspense writers

case in point: computer of the gods, written by stephen king, for tales from the darkside
