Fargo was a better series, fight me

You missed the point of the series then

That wasn't the point of that last scene.

The audience wishes it had memory issues instead of him.

You mean Sharp Objects

Then what was it

someone should make an edited version of this series where it plays out chronologically instead of jumping between time lines

That would defeat the whole purpose of why the show was good

There's two theories floating around on what it means:

It was more so symbolizing how lost he still is regardless of where the case ended up. He obviously was able to find a sense of closure, albeit he forgot that Julie was actually alive, but in doing so he lost his sense of purpose. It seemed like the case was the one feature in his older days that was keeping him alive especially since it kept him close to Amelia. Now that’s over and he is back in the jungle searching for his way out, searching for some beacon of hope to help him carry on through the rest of his days

The ending shows that Hayes is now completely lost, his ailment has got worsened to such extent that he can't recover, in other words it's a total memory loss of who he is, the people he know and his whole life.

People will be discussing season 1 a decade from now. A decade from now season 2 and 3 won't even be remembered.

unbased dubs

best season, fuck the haters, yes i'm a contrarian

You know I"m right. I didn't even think season 3 was bad. The ending was just somewhat dull, but had its moments and was fitting for the season. The main thing is the crime being investigated just wasn't all that interesting in the first place, it started off so foreboding and with a lot of mystery but once that mystery evaporated and you knew what happened it lost my interest.

Season 1 is just on an entirely different level, in terms of acting, writing and direction.

2 episodes into season 2

it's pretty fucking boring so far

wrong. he knew where he was and who julie was at the end. he just didn't want to say anything cause he realized that it wouldn't do any good.....she was fine and had a life and his "journey" was completed because he found her alive and well.
as for that final shot of him walking through the forest, it represents the loss of his memory coming to ahead because of the closure that was granted to him for finally solving the case.....he can rest easy now

can someone do a short plot summary? I watched the first three episodes and got bored, but would like to know what was going on and who killed the kid.

>the show was good
entertaining yes. good.....absolutely not

THIS IS MY LEAST FAVORITE LIFE
>Gaycop drives fast

Pizzolatto is a fucking hack.

boy slipped in cave, bumped his noggin on rock & died, girl placed hands of boy in praying pose, girl got aids, the end

thanks, but that's a little too short, user. Did she run away? Why? What's the deal with the dolls?

He definitely wasn't sure if it was Julie.
Ali acted brilliantly as someone with Alzheimers

DEM KEEDZ

Brainwashed with 80's lithium or some shit, went mad, finally got better in a convent they pretended she died of AIDS, actually got ver own family and life

Fargo doesn't know how to end a season, either. Between that and True Detective, only the first seasons of both were satisfying, and even that's up for debate.

>Both detectives were literally so close to solving the case it took them a few days as senile old fucks to finish it
>They both just stopped in 1990, Wayne because muh family and Roland because uhh...
>Didn't speak for 25 years after that incident
BRAVO PIZZA

>Season 1

10/10

>Season 2

8/10

>Season 3

9/10

This is the truth and you know it. No season has been bad. All three have been kino. Yes, Pizza may be a one trick pony but fuck me it works.

the first one wasn't even good..

thank you! Can't say that I regret not watching that in full...

1 = 10/10
2 = 7/10
3 = 8/10
ftfy

10/10, 6.5/10, 6/10

Spotted the pleb

Would they even have been able to solve it if the old one eyed black dude hadn't been stalking around Roland's house in his car at night trying to build up the nerve to confess for them the get the license plate from?

How did the third season even make sense. They didnt even interrogaten the mother or the cousin in the box back at the station. Either one would have coughed up after a while.

Also what’s with the one eyed black man, literally the easiest fucking discription to find, not being found

10 fucking hours of this dudes shitty mariage who gives a fuck

Pizza is a hack, can’t believe reddit keeps defending it as “9/10 season”

The worst part was that he got intimidated by the guy who basically had no power, no connections, no secret cult behind him, nothing. He only had one weirdly loyal ex-cop by his side and they already killed him a day prior.

Rust+Marty were not chickenshit cowards, unlike the duo in this season. They just basically said "fuck this, I don't care" - and the case was far less dangerous than the one in season 1.

cameron is a faggot and lucas is retarded, the sopranos is a terrible tv show.

Because the ending sucked mega balls invalidating the rest of the show bar first 2 episodes

some fine moments, some kino moments, but at the end, it was disposable trash.

a mediocre ending - a pizzaboy trademark - that destroy the whole thing.

the first two seasons are way better and echoes, yet, for different reasons but nobody will remember this shit. like that fucking intro song about some dead nigger.

I didn't like this season.
It was boring and "unrewarding". I feel like we still have 8 episodes to go, where we finally start to REALLY solve the case.

kino

a bit mad at this but I really liked this season and the weird directing in the last episode with spooky music and shit

Characteristics of literary fiction generally include one or more of the following:

A concern with social commentary, political criticism, or reflection on the human condition.[6]
A focus on "introspective, in-depth character studies" of "interesting, complex and developed" characters,[6][7] whose "inner stories" drive the plot, with detailed motivations to elicit "emotional involvement" in the reader.[8][9]
A slower pace than popular fiction.[10] As Terrence Rafferty notes, "literary fiction, by its nature, allows itself to dawdle, to linger on stray beauties even at the risk of losing its way".[11]
A concern with the style and complexity of the writing: Saricks describes literary fiction as "elegantly written, lyrical, and ... layered".[12]
Unlike genre fiction plot is not the central concern.[13]
The tone of literary fiction can be darker than genre fiction.[10]

Should have just rewatched gone baby gone instead of wasting 8hrs on this bullshit.

>the story is about the two lead detectives
>Roland barely gets any insight into his personal life
>when he does, it's when he is an old man

How was season 3 about the TWO detectives again? Eight hours to explore Roland's life, and we get Wayne arguing with Amelia 20 times and a case that is nothing but red herrings.

why does that nigger only have one facial expression? maybe a slightly bemused eyebrow raise.

its called TRUE detective not TWO detective you fucking moron

theres one lead detective in season 3. but we do get loads of roland stuff (w wayne, w tom, and more). amelia is also an investigator

red herrings are inherent to the mystery police procedural - if you can't stand em stop watching this stuff

I liked season 2. I'll check it out.

just rewatched s1

s1 >>>>>>>>>>> s2 >>>>>>>>> s3

s3 had no idea what made td special

Should I watch season 2?

Ironic

Sallah Khan Thanckabowh did it

season 1 10/10
season 2 9/10
season 3 first 7 episodes 10/10
season 3 finale 0/10

So, is it worth downloading the series now?

This.

season 1 was the best tv for 5 years
season 2 was a bad try to catch that hype momentum
season 3 was hilarious considering the writers change

Accurate, though season 1 more of a 9.5. Amazing but it had its flaws
