I could see enjoying the odd one but theres been a ton of them at this point, how can you still be engaged watching what are essentially play fights? Nothing of concequence ever happens in them. It's fucking boring.

I grew up reading comic books and still love some superhero comics, but I find comic book movies absolutely alienating.

Don would have loved Capeshit. His favorite pass time was going to the kino-plex and switch off from the outside world. That's literally what Marvel films are for and there pretty well made at that.

People used to watch dumb cannon action flicks from the 80s where things go boom and guns go pew, and those were considered super "badass", and nobody would bat an eye at a 40 year old watching one of those. Now those same types of movies are often straight to redbox trash that only an idiot would waste their time watching.
It's still just mindless action entertainment, the diference is that there's more variety now, it's not just man with gun shoots at other men with guns to avenge his family or save his wife/kid (and I'm not talking about the classics, just your average 80s action movie).
Overall there's not too much value to any of those, but they can be a fun 2 hours of your life, and sometimes you need an excuse to eat popcorn on a boring sunday night.
