Viktor and Ivan are really the heroes of the story, Ivan is the one person in the series to do the right thing and protect the person he cares about from making a huge mistake and risking his life over a grudge

This...Creed was an undeserving diva the entire movie who constantly.made decisions against the best interest of his family while Drago ended up caring for his kid more in the end

I haven't seen the movie since it came out but I think Creed was supposed to learn how to be a better father to his new born Daughter after seeing how Drago acts.

Drago didn't act like anything infront of Creed. We saw all his stuff when he was alone with his son.

Also the opponent in 2 is literally more sympathetic than Creed is, by a long mile. I will admit though I choked up at the end scene.

A surprisingly good movie when compared to what's available these days. On top of that, it has a female being a complete piece of shit, has elements of redemption for a previously vilified character, and also has a positive father/son relationship message. It's a nice change of pace. I give it a fair 6.5/10

Basically this. Also, Rocky was kind of cunt to Drago at the restaurant. He was the one who didn't throw the towel and came to the ring in Russia knowing full well of the consequences. Besides, unless Clubber Lang is running some boxyng gym out there, Drago is the his only connection to his boxing days and he could use some friends in his old age.
I was kinda impressed they kept Milo Ventimiglia as Rocky's son at the end.

he trains in the southeast desert in scorching heat, fighting brawlers that are taller and heavier than him, learning how to take punches that powerful and how to engage an infighter by putting their foot into a tire. the song segues into a 30 second rap that i thought fit very well (as the training starts paying off), before going back to a climaxing score to tick off the triumphant cinematography shot.

don't listen to the haters here, it's obvious where the bias is coming from, it's really not all that different from the rest of rocky movies, and i don't think it's possible to top Rocky 4's montage anyways.
