Dragon Ball GT is unironically one of the best alternate endings of all time to a TV show.

Dragon Ball is a franchise that is so popular that they will never ever stop making episodes, so it's nice that a show exists, even though it's not canon, that gives the series a definitive and satisfying ending. Say what you want about it's quality but the Omega Shenron arc is an insanely satisfying wrapup to the series that not only brings the plot around back to the Dragon Balls for the first time in hundreds of episodes, but also has a villian that could ONLY work as the final villian of the franchise. Not to mention the incredibly emotional and well written final couple episodes.

OP, no matter what everyone tells you, watch GT after you catch up with everything else. You won't regret it.

Original Z dub with Faulconer music. People love to hate on it but it's far and away the best version. Z is all about the hypest moments, and the Faulconer soundtrack provides that. If you insist on watching with the Japanese soundtrack, don't half-ass it, watch it in Japanese language too. At the end of the day, I love both even so but English plus Japmusic is the worst way to watch.

If you don't want spoilers, don't watch. It's not super major but it's an iconic moment, otherwise it's one of the many prime examples of the superior dub.

I tried watching Super quit a while back. So fucking stupid, Goku went from merciful man with a Heart with principles of gold to a retarded manchild that always looks for competition even at the cost of lives. The fights we're brutal, bloody, and dirty in Z, Super it's just big explosions, people zooming place to place with super speed, and a bunch of gay child like fanmade transformations.

You should understand that it isn't really parody in the most literal sense of the word. It's a product of the times in which it was written, and of the extremely strange mind of its writer, as well as a fair amount of typical Japan weirdness. But it's also heavily inspired by Western films, music, literature, etc., and for that reason I'd call it the most accessible anime for Westerners period. But don't go into it thinking of it as some sort of satire, that'll just ruin the magic for you. Think of it more as shonen taken to its logical conclusion, with a fair amount of flamboyant machismo thrown in.
