American """"""comedy""""""
ok you asked for it
youtube.com
I only laugh at Japanese media, not with it
British comedy
>Man does silly things normally
American comedy
>Man does normal thing amusingly
European comedy
>Man does normal things normally. Film gets awards for it's "political commentary"
>OI JOHN!
>OI WUT IS IT ERIC?!
>I GOTA BRILLIANT IDEA FOR A SKETCH!
>WHAT IF...GET THIS, A GUY GOES INTO A CHEESE SHOP...
>...
>AND THERE’S NO CHEESE!
>BLOODY BRILLIANT!
Argument clinic is kino
>character does something
>WAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA
>*BOING BOING*
>jap scribbles popping up everywhere
>facecam showing how hard the audience is laughing
I literally didnt and im not watxhing any jap shit that isnt anime or anri okita thank you
This reminds me quite a lot of British skits. Clever concept- ruined by the laughter track that sounds like a bunch of fucking schoolgirls. Would have been much better if left without one, and it would have been more subtle. To be fair, the British have a bunch of shit laughter tracks in shows that don't need them too. Mr Bean would have been kino without a laughter track
Comedy and music coming out of mainland Europe is so goddamned awful it's actually pretty amazing. You can really tell a lot about a people from the media they produce, and all I get from European media is that they are a bunch of NPC autists
ok, it got me when he opened up the wall instead of the door. Good shit. kekked at the table reveal too.
Now do niggers music.
British """"comedy""""
It's kino though
t. NPC burger
>celebrity challenge show
>celebrity unassumingly triggers all the crazy text and shit and it isn't at all clear what he did to trigger it
>nip runes bombard the screen in rainbow colours and 100 fonts
>several load clashing sound effects are played at once
>cuts frequently to the audience who are laughing hysterically
>reaction cam is flitting between all 100 celebrity guests at 60fps
>host of the show whips off his suit until he is wearing only underwear, starts dancing around the stage going DEEEEEIIIYOOOOOOO!
>audience falling out of their seats
>camera operate dies of a heart attack from laughing so hard
>cuts to *TECHNICAL DIFFICULTY* screen with anime image of an underage girl hiding her breasts and genitals with a CENSORED bar
British comedy is kino of the highest class you stupid fuck

I'm English and I'd still rather be a burger anyday than a Eurocuck
That brass eye special was hilarious though. It highlighted how easy it is to dupe moronic celebrities into making fools of themselves in the name of a "good cause". They're utter brainlets who will literally say anything to win virtue points with the public, and it backfired brilliantly here. The cunts even had the audacity to take legal action because they got exposed as retards.
>music coming out of mainland Europe is so goddamned awful
Have you taken a look at billboard hot 100 lately? It's filled with nigger trap with one or two pop-country artists inbetween. It's complete shit.
What a shit opinion.
Bean wouldn't work without a studio audience unless you changed it up like they did in the film.
It's just as bad in Europe. I just searched for the current top songs over there and this came up youtube.com
Also, there is literally no good comedy from Europe. It really is mainly just terrible political parodies for the most part
*explosion*
*electric guitar screech*
AMERICAAAAAAAAAAAAN
*fart noise*
*Yello, "Oh Yeah"*
HUMOORRRRRRRRRR
It would work, you would just laugh at what you actually found funny rather than what the audience dictates. It would not be as funny, granted, since audiences can elevate comedy, but in this sense I think leaving it without would have worked better. It would just be a comfy show about an autist doing weird shit, with a few funny moments sprinkled in at the comedic payoffs. And since you would laugh less, the bigger moments of comedy would probably stand out all the more since the comedic tension would be higher
I actually preferred the stuff that wasn't about tricking actual people but just ripping on the news in general.
Once you've made one celeb say Something retarded the joke has already hit it's peak
What does Yea Forums think of the four candles sketch from The Two Ronnies?
youtube.com
But nobody likes this
>guys look how fast I can drop my shorts and expose my bare asshole with one hand
>I can do it in one smooth motion now
I disagree m8. If you removed the laugh track it would be like those shitty vids were they remove the track from friends and Ross comes off as a psycho.
Bean is very much a performance and by removing the audience you remove his ability to play off the room.
I think you could take the character and rework it to be a comfy show as you said but it would have to end up being a very different kind of show.
Am I the only person in the world who laughs when I want to and not when the audience does?
Fair point. The show would need a little restructure. I think the Mr Bean animated show is proof that it can really work though. It is more kid oriented but I think it works as proof of concept
>Also, there is literally no good comedy from Europe
How would you know when you don't even understand the language? Sweden had some brilliant comedy in the 90's.
Watch this from 0:33 to 0:48
youtube.com
>a fishing boat collided with another fishing boat earlier this morning
clip of the accident
>nobody is reported to have been injured, one died
Oi you ave a loicense for all em quotation marks bruv ?
dude
yet it's extremely popular
hmmm
Laughing when the audience laughs. Are you autistic? No seriously, this is the only time I mean it when I'm asking.
I don't mean every time. I mean that there are some scenes I'd laugh at laugh track or not, there are many scenes I don't laugh at also regardless of laugh track. However, many scenes also only work with a laugh track, so I will only laugh at them if they have one. I always am reminded of Red Dwarf season 7. It had no laugh track even though the comedic style was clearly leaving room for audience reaction. Entire thing felt so dead it killed the comedy completely
>that monty python episode that ends with a skit about jewish movie producers and segues into the credits where all the name in credits now have "berg" added to the end of them
Could it be done today?
Of course not
