Why did Comedy Central cancel this?
Why did Comedy Central cancel this?
it was too funny for sensitive modern audiences
Trump is entertaining enough in real life
Parodying trump is impossible, the man is his own parody
because things are starting to get serious
Cuase you're mum gay.
This. No matter what you'd write, he'd overshadow it with his antics before the episode could even make it to air.
The rape episode crossed a line
There is no timeline where this dude doesn't get pardoned in November of 2020
It's a powerful magic, weaponizing mockery of yourself
based cronyism
These. All the parodies devolve into butthurt 15 minutes of hate that is less funny than his real antics. By the way is the Colbert animation still going?
Why did Comedy Central cancel this?
The real answer is that nobody watched it
Even the judge in the case said during sentencing that this had nothing to do with "collusion," Russia, or Trump
Why did they cancel this?
correct
weekly shows featuring satirical takes on politicians never do well, see
well obama did happen to release that terrorist bomber oscar rivera, manafort didn’t kill anyone
Why didn’t they ever make an Obama show? Could have called it King Nigger
Probably because I literally can't imagine anyone wanting to watch something like that. Like even if it was just like 2 minute youtube skits I can't imagine something like that getting more than a couple thousand views.
obama wasn’t even joked about with kid gloves, he was too sensitive.
>they lightened Condoleezza so they didn't have to portray a black person negatively
The real Trump was funnier
Yeah, literally how do you one up THIS?
it triggered pol snowflakes
Tbfair there wasn't much to latch on to in his public persona. He stuttered sometimes and that was pretty much it
Unironically the most American photo of a president in a while. Beautiful.
>the way he almost sounded giddy talking about all this food
made me love him even more
This, what a fucking moron
>2019 still crying about Obama
Not him but he didn't stutter. He would pause awkwardly like a first year speech class student told that being silent was better than saying ummm. Made him sound like a glitchy robot more than a stutter.
That’s why I voted for him
I'm so mad they deleted the Q subreddit cause I was looking forward to spamming all the cringe here. MULTIPLE IMAGES of people who got WWG1WGA tattoos. I was so looking forward to posting them and having /pol/ tell me they're fake. I love the multi-layered fucked upness, it's why I come to Yea Forums. It's all down the drain though.
I had the thought this morning: it would be interesting to see the results of someone counting how many episodes of SNL included sketches revolving around Trump from 2017-2019 and compare that number to how many episodes had Obama sketches during his entire 8-year term. I would bet $20 we've already had more Trump sketches in 2 years than we had Obama sketches in 8 years.
Then you could compare how many Obama sketches were critical of him versus how many Trump sketches were similarly critical.
I'm sure there's far more trump sketches than Obama but let's be real: there's more Trump material, regardless of whether you hate him or love him. Obama's image was carefully managed and massaged both by his camp and by the press. Trump has no handlers and the press hates him. It's to be expected
The real sin is that they're incapable of being funny
wew
They already have a few shows like that anyway
Sure, I'm not trying to make it a pissing contest, just pointing out the flagrant political motive behind what winds up on air. If you're busy creating propaganda, you won't be able to make comedy. It's why the "jokes" are so horrible. Derisive impersonations aren't jokes. I watched Weekend Update last weekend and the political "jokes" were met with applause rather than laughter. "Clapter" is ruining comedy.
tPS was on a whole other level, though. It understood Trump in the same way Colbert understood that Fox anchor.
holy shit
her skin tone isn't even remotely that light
