It comes down to if there's a demand for it. It's happened on other movies. Some movies are pulled fucking quickly because there's no reason for the film to stay if no one wants it. The Last Jedi for example got pulled like one week after release.

Yeah I had to settle for 2D this time around, it loses a lot of the magic. Alita is still cute and all but man it takes a lot from the motorball scenes. Also the part flashback to the attack on Zalem where the cable snaps and falls on the city below is utterly flaccid in 2D.

Some reviewers noticed. I remember when Episode 1 came out - it was a groundbreaking action scene. Not least because it relies on showing kinetic energy at work, and believable destruction of objects, rather than constant Michael Bay like fireballs.
