Any 3D showing of this movie will be a waste if you don't sit close to the screen, otherwise you will miss the fine depth and detail in Alita's first body as well as the intricate street scenes and much else.

Adequate. Not too different from the other dystopian young adult fare about teenage girls fighting the system that they've been making since Hunger Games got big but well executed and with some nice character and set designs. You probably need to be a fourteen year old girl to really get into it but I didn't have a bad time watching it.
