I just finished watching this and now I'm watching Resolution. I would've watched it first if I had known they shared a universe. The Endless was actually really interesting. Has anyone else seen this? It's a low budget science fiction film but it handled it's concept well.
I just finished watching this and now I'm watching Resolution...
seen all 3, i like resolution best but they're all great
if you found the endless cuz of that guido chick who works for hbo you should lurk more
>if you found the endless cuz of that guido chick who works for hbo you should lurk more
I have no idea what you're talking about. Is Spring worth watching next?
>Is Spring worth watching next?
yep, it's not connected like the other 2 but its really fun, its like a horror spin in the linklater before movies scheme. really fun
I watched this a few weeks ago and thought it was pretty good too. I thought they handled the special effects shots well for a low budget movie. I've seen worse effects on movies with more money on syfy.
>I thought they handled the special effects shots well for a low budget movie
yeah, half the fun for me in these types of movies is that, the creative ways around the low budget they are forced to come up for
I didnt get the end can someone explain?
the thing with the rope was fucking creepy as hell and it made me really uncomfortable
I loved Spring. The concept was original (or at least, had an original spin) and the actors made it work, essentially.
Watched few months ago. I think is interesting because does not explain everything and keep the focus on the personal perspective of the protagonists.
They manage to leave the area before they're killed and stuck in the time loop. The camp members who were eviscerated, all come back when their loop resets but they're stuck and won't be able to leave with them. That's how i interpreted it, anyway.
They never allowed whatever it was controlling the loops to take any control of their lives and they never let it kill them, so they were able to escape all the different loops during the biggest "Ascension" (the 10 year loop with the cult)
It is. And they did a good job here. I thought the acting was alright too from the two brothers in the movie that are also the writers, producers, and directors, maybe? I don't know their exact roles but they're wearing a lot of hats and they do it well enough.
I thought the cult's loop is just a week or two. Otherwise the wife of that one guy wouldn't be there.
I think beard brother directed and other brother did the cinematography and they both wrote the screenplay.
they escaped the loop but went back in time and caused the car crash that killed their parents
i liked all three but spring is their best IMO
She said she had been there for years.
Thanks. I'll watch that next. I liked their other films
I see. I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. I think I'm going to check out the other movies, I take it it's the same guys?
I was pleasantly surprised too. Their film Resolution is set in the same universe, was made a few years before and is about the two guys in the cabin that gets burnt down in The Endless, one of them is the fat bearded guy handcuffed. I'm going to watch their film Spring, tomorrow.
they've got something new in the works with a 2019 release date and bigger actors than they've worked with previously. i'm interested to see how it turns out but those boys are 3/3 in my book.
>but those boys are 3/3 in my book.
ye, i agree. i have my preferences but they're all solid
Good to hear. There talented film makers that can do a lot with a small budget, I'm interested to see what they can come up with, when they've got a larger budget to play with.
In the ending scene as they drive away, one brother says to the other that was driving that they would have to stop for gas because the cars fuel gauge is showing empty. the other replies that the gauge had always shown empty"
take that implication as you will.
for me they may have left the cult, but never left their loop.
Oh, that's kind of neat, it's the same characters. I just watched the trailer and I spotted this guy that kind of looks like a young Jurgen Prochnow. I'm gonna watch this later.
Interesting. I overlooked that final line of dialogue.
