what was the last comedy you liked?
What was the last comedy you liked?
Geez, really liked? Probably "Old School" for a movie, after that I remember "It's Always Sunny in Philly" used to make me laugh up until about 5 years ago.
The Other Guys
1. The Big Lebowski - Each time I watch it, there's another mannerism or joke I catch for a quick chuckle.
2. Blazing Saddles
3. Office Space
4. Home Alone
Those are the movies that come to my mind for making me laugh. Comedies are dying in the movie business. TV is now the platform for comedy. Fucking comedy is hard.
Office US and I'm not even American
Wolf of Wall Street made me laugh too
The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie
damn camp nowhere OP. hit me right in the feels. that movie has such a great setting
wet hot american summer
drop dead gorgeous
What We Do In The Shadows
Death of Stalin
Observe and Report
is this Ernst Gets Crucified? heh
Super Troopers 2 had kino-tier jokes and not too many references to the first one
yikes
I liked that a lot, he's so mean. Comedies pull punches but Seth ruled that role
I watched daddys home on a plane and I admit I giggled
It was good, but I heard Danny McBride was originally supposed to play the main character. That would have been better.
I watched Meet the Spartans recently and actually laughed a few times
This.
This was pretty enjoyable, but nothing to write home about. I can't remember the last time I saw a really great one. "Superbad" is the most recent one that comes to mind, which is fucking crazy, there must have been something good since then
I enjoyed both Horrible Bosses movies, I actually think the sequel was the funnier of the two.
I've been thinking about it recently, but what happened to comedies in the past 4 or 5 years? Nothing good is coming out on tv, movies, or stand-up. It's all awful.
Hobbit trilogy
Eurotrip came to mind but I can't recall any recent one
Politics. It's impossible to be funny and self-righteous at the same time, and everyone is afraid to write anything other than self-righteous grandstanding
They Came Together is the most recent I can recall
Good call. I completely forgot about that one, but it did make me laugh
This Is The End last thing that comes to mind
jaded, you've seen all the jokes and all the punchlines are telegraphed
I'll vote for this
Writers are all Millennial's now.
Millenial's have no sense of humor, and no original thought. Millennial humor is just referencing other shows, or someone saying "AWK-WAAARRRRD" after anything happens.
>please god...kill jay
>le big lebowski
The absolute state of 4cheddit
Jesus christ those digits...
IM GONNA GIVE YOU MY WHOLE WEIGHT
This was unexpectedly good
Tears from the tip of my penis.
Donald Cried from Eastbound & Down guys
The last great comedy is arguably Tropic Thunder
Cock blockers was an enjoyable watch.
Thats a horror movie user.
Burn after reading, i think
I generally hate comedy
Someone find this man and kill him.
I need this movie. Goddammit why, that would have been so much better. Danny McBride is phenomenal at riding this weird point between cruel, surreal, and heartfelt that the movie was going for.
Based funnybot.
For example this is straight out of South Park. Ignoring of course memes.
Comedy has been shit the past few years. Just look at the new Sherlock movie with Will Ferrell and John C Riley. Talledega Nights was pretty funny (though it was dumb and I'm sure Yea Forums will frown on me for saying it's funny.) Stepbrothers was amazing, but that new Sherlock movie was just utter shit.
Recommend finding a good series from years ago. Reno 911 is fucking hilarious. Eastbound and Down is fucking hilarious. You can youtube skits from Chappelle's Show that you can rewatch a few times and still laugh. Old South Park was hilarious. A lot of he humor wouldn't be allowed in today's society, but even funny stuff that is politically correct today is too adventurous because the producers think it will be frowned upon in a couple years.
Life of Brian
Pain and Gain
Unironically the hangover
Well that's not fair, that stupid bit with butters' sidekick saying "awkward" was in the simpsons did it episode, everything in that ep was tongue in cheek
