Never watched roma
>REEEEEE STOP WATCHING WHAT I DON'T LIKE
>FUCK NETFLIX REEEEEEEEEEEE
yep.
By the way is Ready Player One any good, or is that as bad as the trailer.
Spielberg's career was launched by a TV movie (Duel).
Hypocrite.
Based Speilberg saving us from Netflix BBC propaganda
It's in his blood.
I can't wait for all boomers to die off
Its good if you like "IM YELLING AT YOU AN EXPLANATION FOR THE JOKE I JUST TOLD" sort of humor
Did Spielberg use guilt to force the academy to allow that TV movie to be nominated?
No, he didn't so no it's not hypocritical.
The Oscars should at least focus on theatrical films and not tv or made for streaming movies.
>why??? Movies are movies!!
Movies that are made for TV do not qualify for the Oscars yet Netflix gets a pass? Not fair.
And what's next, Pewdiepie getting Oscar nominations?
While I agree Netflix is trash and nothing they've made or bought is worthy of awards, it's not because it hasn't been on cinema screens
I can't wait for all the "depression :((" zoomers to kill themselves, that's probably gonna happen first
Quite literally.
I watch movies on my phone. Fuck speilshit.
Shouldn't a line in the sand be drawn? There were lots of great TV movies in the past, they won emmy's, an award for their MEDIUM. Netflix is streaming, not film
Keep coping boomer
While you may think this is bad Netflix sucks and I'm all for banning their stupid shit they call "movies".
He doesn't care. The point is keeping the Oscars focused on Film and not streaming movies.
Make a Streamies awards, it would probably be more popular than the Oscars anyway
Where's the edit my Yea Forums bros?
>Pewdiepie getting Oscar nominations?
>...and the Oscar for the most Racist Gamer goes to...
That would be pretty based, to be honest.
Netflix is a company founded and run by a gentile and it's slowly tearing down old Hollywood and decreasing profits. No wonder he's mad.
is netflix movie eligible for emmy
Seething trendpression zoomie
why is dyln roof punching adam sessler
Imagine being born before 2000 and still posting here. Imao at your life bud.
>By the way is Ready Player One any good, or is that as bad as the trailer.
I didn't immediately write it off from the trailer and thought it would be a fun, mediocre, adventure film with copious amounts of 80s nostalgia done in a very entertaining way.
It wasn't that. It was just mediocre in every way. The story is terrible if you think about it for more than 5 seconds. The action is generic.
It's not particularly worth a watch, but if you have nothing better to do, I guess?
Kek
>run by a gentile
a bernays kin? lol
>projecting
Fuck this boomer kike piece of shit, I don't even know what the fuck is his problem, but he hasn't been relevant since Jurassic Park, FUCK HIM
>Movies that are made for TV do not qualify for the Oscars yet Netflix gets a pass? Not fair.
Most films make the majority of their profit in home video sales and television distribution deals. So it's actually nonsense to single out netflix films since pretty much every oscar bait film can only get made with the assumption that channels like HBO and Sky movies will pay for the distribution rights. Without this aspect, the films wouldn't make a profit most of the time.
Roma had a theatrical run. Saying it shouldn't qualify is entirely arbitrary. Establish a consistent criteria to be eligible or admit that it's just nepotism and ego-stroking.
If you do the former, netflix films that they want to be eligible will be eligible.
