>"So of course the first thing I did when I realized I was in an alternate dimension where he could still be alive was follow my spider-sense to some random high school to find someone who didn't even have spider powers yet. And when I realized the dead Spider-man from this dimension was also its Peter Parker, I lost zero sleep over whether I could have saved him instead of playing student for a week. Oh and when I met yet ANOTHER version of Peter Parker, I had no reaction whatsoever."
Her Spider-sense made no sense, I thought it just detected immediate danger, not some magic plot device that leads you through the movie
Mason Powell
It's no secret gwen, pig, nori and peni were shitty characters added in later during production while the story was focused solely on miles and peter.
Lucas Campbell
You kind of see that she internalized that off screen. She was living in that dimension for a while. Enough to show up multiple days at a school. Also her spider sense is like bullshit pyschic fortune telling.
It would have been pointless drama otherwise. I'm just glad that dumb haircut was an accident she didnt like.
Jordan Garcia
Pig, Noir, and Peni were fine though since they were very surface level.
Adrian Hughes
>also I love black people The best parts of the movie were when it was just peter and miles, once everyone else showed up it went to shit. on another note >movie is about miles >peter is still the best part about the movie
Jackson Gutierrez
Who cares, all I want is to see her get blacked
Mason Lee
Wish their was more noir
Henry Nguyen
Did they cut out some of the stuff that was in the trailers? Like the bit with the fries in the commercials between Peter and Miles, I dont think it was brought up.
Christopher Sanchez
When she's dragging old Peter away from the MJ that's half his age she tells him 'she's not YOUR MJ' and 'Trust me, I've been there!'.
Imagine not being able to follow a kids' cartoon.
Brayden Reyes
Because Miles still barely had any personality beyond "nervous teenager who becomes confident by the end." They didn't really give him any clever lines, he was mostly just a soundboard for Peter. Even Fem Dock Ock had a far more developed and nuanced persona.
Tyler Allen
>Trust me, I've been there!'
Literally nothing of significance beyond reminding us of her backstory. At no point did she attempt to form a connection or seem genuinely emotional over finding out there are versions of her best friend who didn't die.
Brandon Gonzalez
I came out of this movie not caring about Miles. The only thing I know about him is from the PS4 game and this movie, but I didn't find him interesting at all.
Jack Bailey
i can't decide if gwen is hotter than hailee or viceversa
Hudson Kelly
That's because he isn't. Miles is just them trying to make Peter Parker a teenager again with a new paint job
Xavier Powell
>implying Based Gwen-Earth MJ is gonna let her get BLACKED instead of GINGERED
I feel like there was practically no mourning for Peter. Like Aunt May after only a day after peters death was all fine, chatty, and normal. Same with MJ.
So....given that she's from a different dimension how did she get admitted to a prestigious school with no proper ID, school records, family or anything like that?
She just showed up to school and started walking around randomly attending classes?
White people do have it easy.
Christopher Collins
The one in the game was JUSTED hard from the original designs to the ingame model
Damn they love cucking Peter in these things don't they
Adrian Green
All that was thanks to Aunt May thou.
Lucas Nelson
"Heh, did you know that I broke my Gwen Stacy's neck by accident when trying to save her?"
Evan Peterson
Peter sucks, OMD pretty much ruined him as a character.
Gavin Young
I enjoyed the little we saw of the trio, but Gwen was that bad spot of I didn't want to see more but didn't dislike what we had. Like she's a little annoying but nothing that makes her a bad or flawed character concept, but at the same time if we didn't see any more of her I don't feel like we missed out, while Noir, Peni and Pig were entertaining enough for the little they got I felt like more of them would have only made the thing better. As it stands they were so underdeveloped to the point I had no idea why Peni was crying over the robot after it was shown the spider-pilot was okay. Isn't the Spider the brain and the suit just, well, a suit for it that she helps pilot? Did the robot actually do robot things without the Spider? What does the Spider do then? More Peni would have made that stronger but there's nothing about Gwen that needed more time for the scenes she had.
I think so, and honestly for the better since that's just repeating stuff we visually saw, they said, or we just understood outright. No need to repeat dialog with some 'eh' jokes thrown in for the sake of it.
Felicia looks pretty hot i don't understand why they fucked up this bad. I think devs simply are having massive issues with design thanks to the modern engines.
Miles is a shit character with no depth yet no room for growth.
Nicholas Scott
MC Spiderman 2099 Spider-Gwen, with lesbian MJ cameo. Venom, Based Tom Hardy's version qt Spider-Girl that is Peter and MJ's kid, the modern version. Goblin-Gwen The Pig again. Superior Spider-Man Peni as a teenager big titied animu girl with a mech suit. More Nic Cage.
Mason Perez
A lot of stuff in the trailers didn't make it into the actual thing. They retooled a lot of stuff.
Daniel Butler
Robot devs need to just create an exact robot duplicate of Enji that I can purchase and have sex with.
Thomas Bailey
I think she ended up taking the place of someone named Wanda. Why else would she need a fake name instead of just using Gwen?
Aside from poor writing.
Hudson Lee
Because she realized that the Peter she knows is not the same as the Peter having a mid life crisis. She even says as much when mid life crisis Peter tried to go after MJ.
Nolan Lewis
>tfw not enough money to buy both a Dovebot and a Enjibot...
>At no point did she attempt to form a connection or seem genuinely emotional over finding out there are versions of her best friend who didn't die. Simply learning that the Peter Parker in that universe was Spider-Man was probably a pretty big indicator to her that that Peter ISN'T her Peter. They look kind of similar and they had the same name, but that's where the similarity stops.
Is this shit canon to the Marvel comics universe? Is there any mention of Ultimate Peter Parker?
Caleb Martinez
Needs Italian Spider-Man
Nolan Parker
>Is this shit canon to the Marvel comics universe? Literally everything is canon to the Marvel comics universe, even all the live-action movies.
But going by what I you're asking, Spider-Verse
Ryan Robinson
Maybe if you're an inhuman robot. My uncle's an oncologist who lost his wife to leukemia and I guarantee if he woke up in a reality where she was the oncologist and he was dead, he'd want to meet her and find out everything he could about her. The existential discussions alone would be worth it.
Caleb Bell
>But going by what I you're asking, Spider-Verse Fuck. And I should have said Marvel comics multiverse, I guess, but whatever.
Going by what you're asking, Into the Spider-Verse is entirely separate universe from the comics one. The analogue for Ultimate Peter is in, but he's an adult, blonde, financially successful, and married to MJ before he kicks the bucket. Also, he meets Miles a bit before that.
Jayden Diaz
Except this is always their relationship in every Spiderverse crossover.
It's obvious the reason Gwen and Peter's relationship wasn't touched on was for pacing reasons. The movie has to focus on Miles' character arc and having Gwen's main relationship be centered on Peter instead of Miles would detract from this being Miles' movie.
Still agree with the thread tho, Gwen and Peter should've connected more.
I see, thanks. I stopped reading around the time ultimate Peter died and one more day/brand new day started, so just wanted to know if this had any related content because I don't want to get upset about his death 8 years later again, so I'll give it a try.
Doesn't she say that it's her dad's robot? Her dad was her person that she couldn't save, so I assumed she was crying over her dead dad's robot getting busted.
>while Noir, Peni and Pig were entertaining enough for the little they got I felt like more of them would have only made the thing better
Disagree completely, I fucking hate Porker/Ham, completely unnecessary and way too tonally inconsistent. Also didn't like how they made Noir and Peni more caricatures than in their actual comics. Peni was never anime and Noir was never a black and white throwback.
Jeremiah Clark
Jesus Christ
Brody White
The pig got a couple of the funniest jokes in the movie though.
>tfw no enjibot This technology can't come soon enough. Saving all enji content so that I have reference material to provide to the company who eventually offers the service.
Bentley Cook
We could have had this instead of Brie...the fuck is wrong with this whole universe?
Brody Ramirez
Enji needs to play every capeshit character.every.
I just finished this movie a few minutes ago It was fun. Wish Peni, Noir, and Porker got more time though, a lot if the little screentime they had was much better than when Gwen or Miles was onscreen. But I guess the movie could only be so long. Felt pretty long as it was actually.
His uncle turning out to be a supervillan and dying should definitely have been developed more. He was supposed to be really close to Miles, but in the end it just didnt seem like it affected Miles that much, nor that there was anything to be learned from it I guess. Miles nor the audience even knows how he got in that situation. In all honesty the movie should have been like a week longer instead of the span of two or three days
is it possible that women are not some hivemind collective and some are comfortable with using their body to make money while others are not comfortable with random dudes trying to have sex with them on a regular basis
