Been thinking about it and basically no because the foundation of the Sequel Trilogy is rotten. Abrams reset the universe so that the Original Trilogy may as well have not happened. The Empire's back in the form of the First Order, the Dark Side reigns once more, and the Jedi are all but extinct again. Han, Luke, and Leia die with their legacy in ashes and their millennial son leading the charge because they didn't hug him enough. For me, this is turning into a DCEU MoS, BvS, and JL situation where the first movie had major flaws but a lot of promise, the second movie was dogshit, and I'm just waiting to see what they do with the third movie.

Long story short, Lucasfilm went through two directors/writers before they settled on Abrams. Abrams asked for more time to write TFA and Disney said no because they needed a return on their investment. So Abrams redid the OT and made $2 billion. Which means that Lucasfilm has no incentive to EVER stray from the OT aesthetic or galaxy dynamics. We're stuck with it.

NO. JJ miscast the lead roles and ignored all the great work the story board artists dreamed up. He is largely to blame for it completely falling flat. They will double triple down on their shitty new characters.

Honestly i knew ot was totally fucked from the first moment i saw the first trailer. Later i came to realise these fuckers are making it bad on purpose to destroy our cherished western archetypes.
