Recently caught up with the Netflix season after watching all those on Teen Nick/Noggin. Not sure if it's my age speaking as I watched the previous seasons before/during High School but the Netflix seasons just seem pretty tame. They're tackling more current social issues sure but where's the action? The intense suspense and OH SHIT moments? Just feels like they're missing and social commentary was just added in. For example, Hunter was ready to go full columbine at degrassi one season then suddenly his only purpose is to be a close-minded boyfriend to the now gender-fluid Yael.
