LOTR BTFO
'Game of Thrones' Final Battle Is Even Bigger than Helm's Deep in 'Lord of the Rings'
Wait they're saying it's the biggest battle ever filmed, and that's it's bigger than Helm's Deep.
Unless my memory is failing, the Siege of Gondor/Battle of Pelennor Fields was a bigger battle than Helm's Deep.
They mean they completely ripped off Helm's Deep. Freudian Slip.
My god, this is even bigger than the final battle in the Lord of the Rings movie. It's like... it's like, 10 times bigger than that battle!
>not even bigger than Pelenor Fields
Pathetic.
fuck off faggot, you have at least two other threads up about this. We don't want to hear about GoT. Shit's for SJWs and kids.
Helm's deep is a 40 minute battle that didn't use the level of CGI that modern films use. They relied heavily on props and makeup to make the scene as real as possible.
I doubt the Game of Cucks can match it.
>final battle
i thought it was in episode 3
>we have 10 guys in shitty looking plastic armors for close ups, and about 10.000 CGI dudes, it's so fucking epic dude!
>not bigger than the Battle of ¨Pelennor Fields
pathetic
>implying fight scenes are why people liked GoT
This was all CGI except for the rocks. There is a good way to use CGI, and bad way to use CGI just like practical effects. It's has more to do with lighting and editing to make the final product look good.
literally its only saving grace
Don't you have better things to do then make bait threads? Fucking loser
I remember a time in GOT when cleverly written characters would banter surprisingly relevant shit to each other in the context of a fantasy universe. But yes, people beat each other with swords too.
>caring about the characters
LEL wtf crack you smoking?
>I doubt the Game of Cucks can match it.
Judging by the battle of Watchers on the Wall, Hardhome and Battle of the Bastards, i'm pretty sure they can at least get pretty close.
It hasn't been about that for like four seasons.
this pic cant be real
it was amusing how they also claim that Helms Deep is the biggest battle in cinema, when it doesn't come close to Waterloo.
who cares about that shit anymore theirs dragons and zombies and giant wolves
>giant wolves
Those fuckers were gone after the second season.
it is
Which means they're going to cheap out even more on the costumes. Near a decade at the fucking wall and the only properly armored anything I saw was a zombie walking around with a chainmail coif.
If it looks like shit I don't care how big it is.
Don't be retarded, even back then it was announced as "bigger than the episode 1 fight".
>If it looks like shit I don't care how big it is.
thats what she said . HIYO
Based
Wtf is with the correlation between embarrassing, newmale, glasses wearing, gaping mouth photo, faggots and drinking onions? This is seriously a mental condition at this point.
Why is this expression so common nowadays? Is it a new fad or something like dabbing?
Based. Waterloo is awesome and that era has endless possibilities for Kino.
My hope is that one day we'll see some massive Naval battles in a movie (PotC doesn't count).
Wait, wasn't Waterloo the biggest battle ever filmed? And had literally tens of thousands of extras
Liked GoT up till last couple of seasons, should I watch LOTR? Always been put off that they're all 3 hour movies, but the last couple of seasons of Thrones has basically been the same.
If you liked GoT you probably won't like LotR.
Why?
Well it depends, do they delve into Gondor's tax policies?
Redpill me on Waterloo, should I watch it tonight?
how does one tax the immortal elves?
Yes.
No. GOT is really a soap opera with some swords in it. That was it's main appeal. Characters just sit around backstabbing each other and that's where all tension is generated.
That's not really LOTR. If you like going on a big fantasy adventures, then watch LOTR.
Why tf does it have a 33% score on Rotten, what type of movie is it? I usually don't care for reviews but it's weird seeinf such a low score and few reviews for a movie so old
It's good. Awkward dialogue and stuff here and there (maybe because it's Soviet made so they don't have the best grasp on the English side of things). The guy as Napoleon is believable and good despite his American accent. Christopher Plummer cements himself as the most English Canadian ever. It's quite accurate as well.
>that screenshot
God I can already hear that amazing music.
Onions German lmfao
Probably Russian version of War and Peace, or that.
its an expression of childlike excitement. women are neotenous, men generally arent, so the expression naturally looks strange when they partake
Old movies often do have very few reviews on RT. Watch it and make up your own mind, although the first hour to 90 minutes is build up for the battle, so don't expect the intro to be the battle starting. You'll get more out of it if you give a damn about the Napoleonic Wars and know about the events as they really happened.
>m-muh pellenor fields
helms deep was a superior battle and you literally cant prove me wrong
>He hasn't seen LOTR in it's original run.
why does Gandalf have the only white horse. rohanians raciss?
Based.
I love it, giant action shlock is exactly the reason I fell in love with Game of Thrones in the first place.
I won't say you're wrong, though Pelennor is hyped to hell and back mainly because of how good the the Rohirrim charge was. That was perfect, especially with how terrified the Orcs start to look when they realise they are about the get BTFO.
