I had a thought before about the whole 'people bringing their family members to Alita and them loving it' stories. Obviously we all love the film, but a secondary point here is that there's good odds that a lot of the Yea Forums posters don't have the best relationship with their family. Being able to make contact with your family members and bring them to something that excites you and you care about is super valuable especially for parents. They're happy that they can spend time with you and share something you love, especially since if you have more obscure hobbies like say /tg/ or Yea Forums they might not really get it. Alita has healed you and your family in ways which perhaps you didn't even expect.

The dog blood was an improvement compared to the tar in the manga, although fang was really based in the manga

Makaku was a brain Eaton junkie, he wasn't thinking straight, but damn, the story arc was muc much better than I expected. I like the themes of the manga so far.
