Removing every film from the the cinema this weekend is the most bizarre thing I've seen. I live in Ireland, and about 200,000 people in my area are limited to 1 movie to watch this weekend.

At first look, I would read that face as "mild disinterest". Not boredom, nothing so emotive, but the kind of look you'd expect someone to have when they're driving and have to stop to let people cross the road. They're watching what's going on, but there's no real investment, there's no expectation, no chance of a surprise, it's just a mundane event unfolding exactly as the onlooker expects which they are obligated to observe.
However upon looking closer, I notice something odd. Her left eyebrow raised, as if to ask a question? Was the intent of this eyebrow to give off a smug aura? If that's the case then why is this eyebrow the only indication of this? If that isn't the case then why is the eyebrow raised? How does this fit together with this bizarre pose? Or they demand a minimum number of screens showing it. both have same result usually of theaters having to put it on every screen they have to meet the minimum contract requirements and if they don't Disney will literally punish them and remove their ability to screen future Disney films. they are so ruthless about this there are people's whose fucking job is to make sure theaters are complying by secret shopping them, etc.
Honestly this whole situation of doing this combined with giving up tons of free tickets must mean Disney knows they're fucked and hope by providing 'free' tickets to the opening weekend they can pad gross and perhaps catch some word of mouth buzz or get real sales by showing strong numbers with their media outlets reporting just how well it's done the first few days. corporations especially big behemoths like the mouse are shady as fuck
