I want an Alita vidjer game right now. Ponching dudes. Kicking dudes. Slicing up dudes. Motoball minigame.
David Jackson
>Rotten Tomatoes - Critics 60% Audience 94% I'm afraid to ask - what was the critics problem with the movie this time around? Too complicated for the Western audience? Not political enough? Too much CGI?
Josiah Rodriguez
Does anyone who's read the manga have any idea of what the second and third movies would be about? I would love to see Alita coming to terms with her bloodlust and learning to control it, her violent side is only barely explored in the first movie so it'd be interesting to see that in a sequel
It's been one of those hidden gems for decades. Now is a perfect time to hop on the bandwagon. I sure did.
Austin Price
The second movie will basically be cyberpunk Mad Max
Cameron Walker
Just watched it today
Alita is incredibly cute and based
Adrian Foster
Zapan is an asshole.
Jonathan Price
Fox didn't pay them
Xavier Bennett
Alita is oversexualized and clearly written as a male power fantasy, or so it has been said. Alita's fondness for crazy battles indeed gets more and more prominent as the manga progresses.
Evan Garcia
They changed a lot of setups that make the second half of the original manga work, but if I had to ballpark a guess, part 2 would begin with Jashugan and Motorball tourney and end with Berserker Zapan and destruction of Iron City, while part 3 would have to include both Mad Max parts and parts on Zalem which is gonna be tough.
>Alita coming to terms with her bloodlust and learning to control it This factors heavily into it. She'll go outside the city, work for the sky people for a bit, Nova becomes integral to the whole thing.
I honestly thought this was a superhero movie when I saw it. Turns out it's a manga... which is pretty much Japanese superhero shit. Why is Yea Forums shilling fucking capeshit now? Thanks for wasting my Sunday.
Luke Hernandez
I dunno but it's problematic and you should go see Captain Marvel instead because it's feminist and empowering, or so I'm told.
>Japanese superhero shit But the Japanese have their own superheroes like Ultraman or Kamen Rider. Alita is not comparable.
Wyatt Clark
THIS IS SO GOOD t. Alita
Jack Mitchell
Its 9pm here and ill work until 3 am, i'll probably catch it
Adam Stewart
what? no it isn't, they're just regular dudes, i thought this was some superhero or something (i got in late due to me not wanting to watch trailers, bitch i don't wait 30 mins to watch commercials for OTHER films).
i disagree but whatever, as i said, i thought it was just another origin story for some capeshit thing, fights were cool but they usually are in superhero stuff.
I have no issue with capeshit, unlike Yea Forums, hence why i was surprise Yea Forums is shilling what is essentially capeshit.
But it's not capeshit, it's not a superhero story. You can't just apply words willy-nilly or they lose all meaning.
Parker Bell
I love that Marvel behaves like Wonder Woman and Alita never happened. I find all those Cpt Marvel taglines (The SuperHERo) amusing in a way. Darlings, you are 2 years too late.
Jayden Martinez
Honestly I think the movie would have been better for you if you went in blind and read the manga after
Leo Gomez
>tfw enjoying the fight with your hunter warrior bro and the sharpest sword on the planet comes flying right at you
Guys, please have a good time when you hit #99 for me.
Jaxon Peterson
i disagree, it's essentially capeshit. i was expecting something like ex machina with a bit more action, instead it's essentially capeshit
how is james bond not a regular dude? highly trained =! superhero. as for batman, that is specifically capeshit as he is in a capeshit story FIGHTING supervillains with superpowers, retard.
Jayden Watson
These generals started on February 17th, so that would mean /abag/ has generated about 2000 posts per day.
Is it available in any language other than japanese?
Julian Richardson
The first series is pretty great for the most part, it's not till towards the end it starts to feel a bit rush apparently the series was getting close to being cancelled which resulted being rushed, it also had an ending that gets thrown away (now non canon) to set up the sequel Last Order which is also great. Haven't read Mars though which is the current running series.
Jeremiah Cook
Fuck off m8. The shit James Bond does goes way beyond special training and you know it.
Isaac Sanchez
Know that Alita loves you, sweet user. Alita heals you
>it's essentially capeshit Except it isn't by definition.
Justin Ward
No, I believe author was dying so he rushed to finish it. The magazine it was serialized in was thriving at the time, and I think gunnm was one of its most popular series if not the most popular.
That won't mean SHIT when it still needs to reach 700+ million
Bentley Lee
Well the movie *IS* pretty silly. That jet driven hammer isn't that much better so a butterfly sword would fit right in.
Jose Wood
1.) We shouldn't dwell on the past. 2.) He's sticking to the manga as much as possible. The black kid, who is also black in the manga gets cut in half by Makaku. But uhhh... Based uhhh redpilled I guess.
Why did so many people choose to live in Iron City when there was so much beautiful nature outside it? I'd have moved inna woods to be away from all the junk and the ethnic people with their knives.
Kevin Ramirez
why don't you do that now?
Hunter Brown
I just want to say, before anything happens and we reach the 99th thread and 100th, that I love you all so much. I've been here since the 1st thread back two weeks ago and it has been an amazing journey really. I've been heavily involved every thread and it's just been so much fun, with it's ups and downs.
Same reason for real life, Iron City has a civilisation so it's a lot easier to live there than do everything for yourself in the wilderness. Maybe they expand eventually but it is meant to be set after an apocalyptic event so they're not exactly developed enough to colonise other areas
Well, I for one would LIKE to see the movie. I've heard it's really good. But at this point it has been all but pulled from the cinemas in Poland. And even when it was played in cinemas, there weren't too many screenings to choose from.
But, oh boy, every cinema in the country plays Captain Marvel pretty much 24/7 starting next week. I wonder if someone has something in mind.
Zachary King
Get a load of these brainlets, everyone professional movie insider knows that Alita needs 1.4B ti break even. It's over waifufags.
Hunter Lopez
Imagine feeling up Alita's cyborg body and making her gasp
It's just a shitty reddit general. Get hold of yourself, you queer bastard.
Leo Foster
You idiot, the film obviously needs to make 6 trillion dollars just to make it's production budget back. It really needs 90 gorillion to break even.
Julian Brown
I actually have forest on three of the four cardinal directions around my house and there's an actual farm just five minutes away. 300 years is a long time though
Joseph Miller
Alita cute angel :)
Nicholas Perry
Sorry bros i dun goofd by being born in Australia and need to sleep. Someone cool please archive the event. Thanks.
James Phillips
fuck i didn't know this existed hnng
Adam Morris
Someone screenshot that. It's gonna be a great reference material when Cpt Marvel inevitably underperforms in Box Office and bigwigs start blaming Russian bots and trolls.
Why Vektor killed the chink? Why Grewishka was hunting on young women?
Ryan Scott
>Someone screenshot that It's already a screenshot, crayon brain
Austin Gray
only if you do it in a cute way since Alita is for love not lewds
Chase Parker
Don't even use Vinyl, but that'd be cool for the packaging.
Evan Morales
Basically males dream of saving the world by fighting, while females dream of saving the world by talking
Wyatt Jackson
>Why Vektor killed the chink? To set an example. >Why Grewishka was hunting on young women? To get his rocks off.
Bentley Murphy
25.98USD. Comes with a digital dl aswell.
Lucas Cruz
I don't even have and probably never will have a record player, but goddammit I still want it.
Nolan King
It's in Cinema City until Thursday and in Multikino until Wednesday, at least in most of them It still plays in some Helios cinemas too
Joseph Stewart
Wtf... Why is there so much misinformation on the internet?? Alita needs another $6 quintillion and three star systems teeming with intelligent life just to scrape by.
Gavin Myers
And 9 months to wait for this. So excited to get it and put it on display.
I saw it twice and took my 12 year old sister with me once.
Caleb Gray
Nice.
Elijah Flores
She weighs a quarter ton, you really don't.
Jason Hill
Shit, I want that.
Justin King
I want to go watch it but i'm scared to go alone is it better to go at night when people wont notice i'm by myself or middle of the week day time when less people go to the movie theater?
It doesn't matter. You're there for her, not for them.
Nathan Wright
I would buy this but I don't have a vinyl record player, still a very nice collectible to own. Post pics of the cover and inside when you get it user
Austin Hernandez
Be brave and go on your own. You won't regret it and most people unironically don't give a fuck about that kind of stuff anyway.
Eli King
Why don't you call up a relative to see it with you? I'm sure someone in your family is lonely and desperate enough for attention that they'll see a movie with you.
It doesn't matter if you go alone, when you're there you're with Alita and you will be healed.
Benjamin Watson
>middle of the week day time when less people go to the movie theater this. have the whole theater to yourself.
Nathaniel Ross
Noone notices when you go to a theatre alone and there's nothing wrong with it user, trust me if you have an interest in the premise you will love this movie
Samuel Wood
Butterfly sword is definitely better than the jet hammer when it comes to silliness. Being wielded by Alita helps a lot too.
Jaxson Bailey
I will take so many goddam pics of her.
Michael Evans
Nobody gives a fuck, and even if they're petty enough to they won't ever think about it again the moment they leave that theater.
Go watch the movie and enjoy yourself, the big screen is the right way to experience it.
I live in Florida, anytime I go to the theater on a weekday it's filled with old retirees.
My Wednesday afternoon Alita showing was filled with elderly couples and I had no idea why any of them were seeing this movie.
Julian Smith
What are the chances they will keep playing it till Saturday, so we can make a family trip to Helios? The closest screening is 150 kms from where I live. I don't recall it being played for very long in my hometown.
Kevin Gutierrez
Middle of the week is an odd time for a theatre to change movies Have fun at Alita again
Alright so if Hugo needed a MILLION credits and he was just 90k short, how long had he been jacking parts? How much is a million credits?
Benjamin Harris
We're continuing this until a.) Alita makes 500m worldwide b.) We get a confirmation of an Alita sequel c.) We hit 999
Tyler Robinson
I went alone, it was fine. Behind me there was what i assumed to be a divorced father who took his kids to the cinema. The 11 year old daughteru giggled everytime a cyborg was violently disposed of and the boy, who i assume was younger then 10, found it scary. Over all the kids were surprisingly well behaved. It's like this movie brings out the good in people.
>a.) Can't happen since it's getting pulled from theaters to make room for Captain Marvel >b.) Won't happen because it FLOPPED HARD >c.) Won't happen because you'll all be banned by then
Samuel Roberts
It's risky. I can see many cinemas pulling it to make room for more CM screenings Hopefully though it will stay for at least one more week in major cities In my hometown it played for like a week, 2D only too despite the cinema being perfectly capable of 3D. Luckly I don't live there anymore
Luke Gonzalez
seething
Easton Young
Got it from The Book Depository via Amazon, next day they where sold out, now I got a message from Amazon saying that they cancelled my order, no details but I suppose it already was sold out or something
Aiden Wood
Try harder, cunt.
Ian Perez
Oh so you're saying Captain Marvel won't BTFO your shitty Japanese porn movie?
Kevin Sanchez
I mean I love the jet hammer. Silly isn't bad per se.
Robert Evans
Yeah I bet they oversold. That sucks bro :(
Ayden Cox
hopefully they'll print more soon
Tyler Sullivan
Stealth fandom merch is my jam, good stuff
Ryder Torres
>Can't happen Not with that attitude it can't. Be positive user.
John Morgan
>saving the world by talking
Well fuck, imagine a movie where the hero saves the world by talking. How fucking boring.
Austin Anderson
>only one theater left in my city playing this movie in IMAX 3D >the other IMAX theaters are playing HTTYD: The Hidden World and some stupid Apollo doc >The Hidden World isn’t even in IMAX 3D >mfw I have to watch both in IMAX before Captain Marvel comes out This movie underperformed harder in America than the Yo-Kai Watch when it tried to be a thing in America, didn’t it?
He really suffered for Alita and now she is a shining Angel with hundreds of thousands of new fans. The manga will be more popular now that perhaps even at its height back in the 90s. dude must be beside himself.
Noah Smith
Given how desperate Marvel is with this movie and how much they are pushing the hype I can make a safe bet it will. The question is - how strong will be Cpt Marvel's legs in the long run. The audience is already sick of overhyping this movie and it hasn't even premiered yet.
Bentley Campbell
Well, at least old people don't talk loudly and make stupid jokes.
Henry Lewis
>underperformed It's actually performed better than all expectations. Still not enough not to flop massively, but it's a marginally smaller loss in profit than they feared.
Carter Cook
Try watching the ova before the movie, if not you might be disappointed/distracted with some story choices they made..
Dominic Young
OC I just made
The story of Alita: Battle Angel summed up in three panels
It's definitely even now, I reckon she will get another 50mill easy, maybe even 100mill
In most markets the data is still a week old, we won't know how much it's really made until a month from now
And of course that's not counting the coming bluray/dvd sales and all the other merch
William Robinson
Making all that merchandise or those DVDs isn't free, genius. The money they make from those will go towards covering those production costs, not the movie's underperformance.
Ian Bailey
Wheelchair seats at the back is odd
Joshua Nguyen
>350 on 170 budget JUST
Daniel Jackson
holy fuck mortal engines bombed hard
tbf it was a pretty terrible movie and i say that as a zoomer who actually likes steampunk
Carson Young
>he never heard about movies making their money back on DVD sales ayylmao That's pretty rare in 2019 given the spread of streaming services, but it used to happen sometimes.
Justin Hill
NOT GONNA MAKE IT
Grayson Nguyen
A bluray sells for like 20, 25 $ whatever, it costs maybe $2-$3 to produce and manufacture, not exactly very hard to make money from it.
Most of the money has already been spent during movie production.
Even selling it in the bargain bin for $5, it's still profitable.
Bluray/online past box office sales actually have much higher margin than cinema sales (but obviously a lot fewer people buy them).
Selling it on jewtube / net flix / whatever has literally zero cost, they just send them the video file, that's it.
Very easy to make money with these
Colton Rogers
It had no hype behind it at all. I mean, it looked like CGI trash but with clever/aggressive marketing you can sell anything.
Bentley Perez
So far, the film performed way above expectations and the fact even broke 350 million is kind of surprise. The final decision will come down if they announce or sequel or hold it off. It's unknown what Fox or Cameron's standards are for "good enough" besides that one stated 350 million break even point they had, which if that's the case, the movie is fine right now.
Colton Sanchez
Cyberpunk 2077? I hope creating Alita in game.
Jaxon Taylor
That sucks but the Apollo doc was pretty great. I went to see it saturday night.
Aaron Sullivan
So you're telling me they'll only make between $2-$3 for every $25 they spend? OHOHHHHHHNNONONONNONNONO SEQUEL NEVER AAHAHAAHAAHAHA
Jaxson Richardson
>clever/aggressive marketing you can sell anything Suicide Squad is proof of that
Logan Hill
Not him but are you retarded?
Noah Wright
Don’t most Hollywood execs green light a sequel if it performed well in the US? Because if it was based on foreign market BO revenue (especially in Chiba), we would’ve gotten multiple sequels to that crappy Warcraft movie by now
Landon Wood
Holy shit I'm browsing at work so I dont miss #99 and I'm actually not rangebanned on my phone for once! It was meant to be! I will go see Alita one more time.
Warcraft SEVERELY under performed in the US though and that was a case of big studios having to divide up their share of profits. With Alita, the film was almost entirely financed by Cameron and Rodriguez, so it all comes down to them if they want to do a sequel, not the studio.
Jaxson Rogers
What's everyone's favorite underrated moment in this film? Mine is when she touches the mirror upon waking up and says "well". Idk how Rosa got so much intonation and meaning in one word but I love it.
I mean actually underrated by the people in the general
No, they will spend $2-$3 for every $25 they sell. Some if it will go to the actual retailer (maybe $10-$15), and they will make around $10 or so.
So if they sell a million discs, that's 10 million in profit.
Jaxon Baker
Well Ido did get a lot of them.
Alexander Wright
>he thinks 350 on 170 is bad you'll never make it as a movie exec
Cameron Hall
Grewishka kneeling when Nova takes over Vector. Like you got this huge psycho motherfucker and he's kneeling like a bitch when he realizes he's talking to Nova.
Hudson Cruz
Slicing of the tear. I've never seen the webbums of that posted.
At that current number, it's not great, but it's certainly not bad. Once it gets it's way up to 400 million by next Sunday, it will be in the yellow to green zone.
Justin Hall
>only getting a million for every ten million you spend >9 million loss I don't have enough kek for how JUST this movie is and it's fanbase are.
Cooper Reyes
Then you haven't been around, I've posted it twice.
That was so damn cheesy and played completely straight and I love it.
John Williams
these two desu
I can just hope that this game sparks general interest in the genre so a more capable studio can make a better game. No hopes for this is. It's just muh graphics and muh sex scenes like the Witcher 3 again.
Robert Smith
It's been mentioned, but I love this scene. >You had her heart in your hands... and you let her live. >I did. >Why? >Because I'm a doctor. And... I'm a mother... and somehow I forgot that.
Why the fuck are there no trips on this board, I want to hide this retard
Charles Perry
When she jumps in the lake to explore the crashed URM ship and sinks like a rock to the bottom. It's cool because she's this small girl but of course she's got a dense robot body.
Sebastian Jackson
>tfw my gf doesn't know the difference between trashy and cheesy it's a cheesy scene but not trashy but she's to(!) dumb too get it.
Why is it so hard for you to admit the truth? Your little angel flopped IT FLOPPED LIKE FUCKING MAGIGARP
Jordan Morgan
I'm gonna get this on bluray just to hear the original voices. the dub was weird.
Jason Martinez
Sunlight hating niggers GTFO
Nolan Phillips
Such a shame. It only needed 6 gorillion dollars to break even.
Elijah Carter
Thanks Winnie.
Christian Baker
I love how she goes from sadness to rage as the focus moves away from her face. Honestly Rosa's acting was so great throughout, even though she doesn't even really appear in the movie. Her face is so expressive.
Daniel Cox
I'm honestly less upset by daylight than I am by it being an FPS.
Lucas Rivera
Not at Disney, but 350 on 170 makes me get the job at Warner.
Nathan Jenkins
I guess the sequel is gonna be Gyarados then
Nathan Wilson
This. The rats will leave the sinking ship right now.
Brayden Moore
Like what the fuck are you even talking about you stupid weeb? IT FLOPPED NO SEQUEL NEVER EVER GONNA GO DOWN HOMEBOY
Henry Mitchell
>Why Vektor killed the chink? Because he called him a prick >Why Grewishka was hunting on young women? Because, uhm... really I don't know... some things really don't make much sense but that's a given
Josiah Edwards
Motorball scrimmage, when the dude knocks Alita down, and she gives him the "I'm gonna fuck you up" look when they lineup again.
Zachary Ward
It has nothing to do with the sunlight, idiot. The gameplay shown so far is shit and the RPG elements will be lackluster. I remember Yea Forums hype threads where people posted the classes from the original tabletop RPG this game is based on and it just won't live up. But idiots are gonna buy it anyway because muh grafix and muh sex scenes. But as I said, maybe a better dev will then misinterpret the masses eating shit and think lots of people actually like the genre and will make a proper game with actual gameplay for me and 2 other autists to enjoy.
Austin Hall
The opening scene where Ido is holding up the broken torso of Alita
Carson Lee
Which language did you watch the movie? I had it in italian and even if ita dubs have a long tradition and a wonderful pletora of competent voice actors (loving Idos va) i still feel like they fucked up somewhere in the translation; Ex, we have alita waking up and goin to the mirror and saying 'beautiful'
Elijah Fisher
I read manga. Is this literally the story of a cybernetic Jesus girl? Which sacrifices itself again and again for the sake of all.
I really like the moment in the underground fight when Grewishka is telling Alita that he was rebuilt by the same hand that is shaping her destiny and she asks "What do you know about me?"
She was so serious and intense, really delivered that line.
Ye but in the original wasn't she saying 'well...'?
Jacob Hernandez
Alita looks at the sleeping Hugo.
Cameron Price
Holy shit. You are dumber than used condom. I couldn't imagine listening to your insuffrable opinions IRL. I feel bad for your friends, seriously. Also, this isn't Yea Forums
I'm impressed Cameron has this big a budget for shilling
Justin Robinson
It's little moments like these that maker her a real person. Jesus' biggest feat was killing a herd of pigs.
Jason Miller
This for you
Christian Nguyen
I do not argue that Alita is stronger. And her father is more pleasant.
Brandon Kelly
Like a tiger.
Ethan Clark
German. Waltz was fine ofc but Alita's voice felt a little off and she's the most important character. Translation seemed fine but the tone was somehow off.
Landon Murphy
>Yea Forums doesn't go alone in the movies I don't recognize you anymore Yea Forums 5 viewings so far for Alita each time alone
Levi Baker
>comics I knew Alita fags were retarded but you can't be this retarded
Wyatt Campbell
they literally are comics you fucking weeb
Thomas Cook
Based
Charles Anderson
Did they leave panzer kunst as it is?
Evan Roberts
Imagine if a cyborg boy was spying on a half naked sleeping girl
Ryan Sanchez
>second and third movies KEK how delusional are you people? I can't wait for the "Alita confirmed to not have sequel" headlines start dropping
>Why Vektor killed the chink? He was a loose end >Why Grewishka was hunting on young women? He told Alita what he wanted to do to her, pretty sure he did it to the other women
Matthew Edwards
Go watch your japanese cartoons, faggot
Carter Scott
Fox legit has a couple dozen shills promoting this trash here. Hiro is being paid to allow it
Brayden Parker
This is kinda dumb but I love that everyone has these little moments of value to share. It makes me smile thinking of the anons in theaters and watching their camrips and feeling the warmth of connection with this film. Keep the thread comfy
If Alita gets a sequel it will either get 2 or 0, Cameron isn't the type of guy to not complete a trilogy. If the man wants something then he'll get it, one way or another
Evan Green
Last Order is shit once the ZOT tournament starts
Aaron Green
Alitafags are literally r*dditors
Caleb Russell
When Ido is bringing Alita back to life and he asks >what are you dreaming about, little angel?
Henry Wright
2 sequels together are cheaper to film than separately, unless you're not certain you'll make the money back (which is in this case, well...) since you don't have to pay for sets, costumes and majority of preproduction twice.
Luke Nelson
>I'm in my submarine right now. With my feet up.
Jordan Cox
There are a few moments that fall flat in the movie: When Alita first starts to suspect that her dad is a serial murderer she starts stalking him and follows him into the night, the tension is at its highest when she is on the rooftop at a crossway watching her dad hiding behind a corner in wait to attack a random prostitute. This misunderstanding is resolved within a minute of the tension reaching its highpoint and the first fight with Grishka and his gang starts.
Now this is an example of a bad adaptation: manga runs on a chapter by chapter release schedule and due to this a manga has different pacing than lets say a movie. A common trope is to end a chapter with tension running high and resolve this tension in the next chapter. The prime example of this is perhaps Prison School where the reader ends each chapter thinking "how the hell is the main character going to get out of this one" and then waits a week to see this resolve. In a movie however the misunderstanding/conflict/challange is resolved within minutes or instantaniously as far as manga is concerned. Here are some moments that I am convinced were on the last page in a chapter: >Alita sitting on the roof atop a steet crossing before jumping down to stop her dad from "killing the hooker" >Hugo kissing Alita >Grishka killing the dog >Dc Dad revealing that no outsider can enter Zalem All of these moments would have made great story beats in a manga chapter if they were given the time to breath and for the character to reach to them properily in the next chapter but the movie being a movie had to rush them.
I love the movie unto death and Alita a cute but the adaptation could have done better.
Grayson Anderson
There are so many of them. Thank you Hugo in the bar. Her bewildered look when Ido came to Kansas. Thank you Father. And many others, starting with each frame of the awakening. Her emotions, all-consuming love and hate.
How do critics not see this? This is the clearest diamond.
This in addition to the fact that they will save on costs of creating Alita since they have all the tech ready to go now, so its way more likely that if the movie gets a sequel it will get 2 and 3 back to back, Cameron himself has said this in an interview from like 2006 that if Alita 1 were theoretically created and was successful he would film 2 and 3 back to back.
Brandon Martinez
sick mars pic
also I totally forgot about the thanks Hugo that was great
Justin Morales
>adaptation could have done better Most people are saying it's a very faithful adaptation though.
Justin Roberts
Hopefully in the sequel, if they keep this level of fidelity.
Owen Kelly
Yeah, whenever they've talked about doing more movies, they never say just one, they always talk about the trilogy or the 2nd and 3rd films. If they're going to make any sequel, they're going to do both at once.
Michael Taylor
To continue from my post about Grewishka kneeling, the whole process of setting up Nova was masterfully done. We never hear him talk except through the lips of others; his voice is never heard but his words are. He's always watching, and he only says this after we've already been shown that he really does. And then there's the scene with Alita training and getting told "Nova is the dragon we must slay", like it's not just Grewishka and Vector and the Iron City punks who view Nova as some otherworldly entity but even the URM had this image of him as something beyond the scope of humanity. It's so little and yet it's so impressive. And then there's the way he talked on after Alita stabbed Vector >That looks fatal Like he's talking about the fucking weather. Nova is an impressive villain. This is how you set someone up, people.
Gabriel Green
Yeah, they made Nova interesting and actually a part of the plot, rather than an infinity gems bullshit after credits thing. I want to see Edward Norton do more with the character.
Jayden Green
>bewildered look when Ido came to Kansas More like "puppy peed on the rug" look.
Dylan Sanders
faithful=!=good a one-to-one adaptation is always going to suffer when transitioning from one medium to another
Sebastian Harris
Kinda gives me echoes of BANE specifically when he says 'do you feel in control?'
Nova has that level of presence in situations but as you mentioned it's impressive because it's a step removed from the physical location itself
It's such a great movie that has so many stand out moments and scenes. Each time I watch it I feel a connection to a scene that I hadn't previously, or appreciate a favorite moment even more.
Alita really sticks with you after you leave the theater.
Mason Clark
The subplot of Ido possibly being the murderer of those women is all contained and resolved within the first chapter of the manga. They actually spend more time on it in the movie than the manga, so pacefags need to stfu
Ryan Hughes
VECTOOOOORR
Connor Thompson
>the psycho full metal bitch that just demolished a bar and thoroughly kicked the ass of the ruthest foulest scum of iron city >acting embarrassed like, daaad, you left me no choice I love how she is so naive and flips mood in a moment's notice this naive alita is dead now
None of my friends wanted to see it so I went to a 10:30pm showing during the middle of the week. I was the only dude in the theater and it was comfy as fuck.
Adrian Gomez
Is she okay bros? Seeing her brain and eyes floating around knowing she was still alive was nightmare fuel
John Edwards
Not sure how underrated it is, but the second fight with Grewishka after he picks her up by the hair and she screams at him. It's so raw and real, I fucking love it.
