Also, Zorg says "I know" three times. This is a rhythmic device to establish him as a smug villain. Each time, the context is an escalation of violence: shoving Ian Holm over to his goons, killing his failed aide, and then gunning down a landing crew.

As a good cartoon-tier villain, Zorg gets his comeuppance when a bomb re-activates. Suddenly, he doesn't look so smart or smug anymore: "Oh, no!" The punchline to the above. This might be on IMDB, but I never hear it discussed. I wonder if anyone else has even registered this writing.

I watched this on TV recently and the whole thing is weird, they cut out half-seconds everywhere and from almost every shot to make it go by faster. It's like watching a synopsis of the movie instead of the actual movie and feels bizarre.

While incredibly irritating this not very surprising, the film is just a little bit over two hours long so they would have to make a lot of little cuts to fit the movie in the allotted time while accounting for commercials. And American TV has a lot of fucking commercials.

I thought it got more hate than it deserved. Sure Delevingne is apparently not so great a person IRL and DeHaan is kind of a tryhard, and sure it isn't faithful to the comics, but the film was a fun sci-fi adventure and they worked well enough in the context of the film.
