In all likelihood, Simpson committed the murders. That said, the prosecution was so inept that being found not guilty was probably the right verdict in light.

You can’t be found innocent, only not guilty. It doesn’t mean the defendant didn’t do it. You can be 95% sure the guy did it and you’d still have to let him go because of reasonable doubt.

He was present at the murder and he helped, but it was his son from his first marriage who chimped out and committed the actual murder.

Everyone knows he's guilty, and taking advantage of minors is a far more serious crime than killing some cheating slut. People were selling the video of him pissing on that 14 year old on the street, that's how widespread it was; the public knew he did it.

OJ definitely did it, however it didn't matter because the forensics were contaminated so heavily due to improper handling. I don't think people here understand how fucking corrupt and incompetent the LAPD, and most police force were prior to the OJ case. The LAPD in particular got fucking rocked by a series of high profile scandals in the late 80s early 90s, leading up to and including a widespread riot with gun battles between citizens. The 90s is when the police across the country had to give up the old paddy antics and do the job seriously, OJ pissed off the police forces across the entire country so badly that they resolves to never let that shit happen again and tightened the evidence handling. No longer could police just pull the classic paddy techniques dating back to the 1920s, find a guy you don't like? Club him and say "he was resisting" with no fear of reprisal as it was impossible for there to be evidence beyond a complaint lodged by the victim. In the 90s cameras started becoming portable enough to be concealed and CCTV was showing that police would literally just steal shit from corner stores.

Oj is guilty but the jury made the right choice.

It was his son jason. He was unaccounted for at the time and was off his anti-psychotic medications. OJ had a history with fuhrman payed off the detective off to sabotage the evidence and create fake tapes to discredit himself.

I doubt where they tried the case mattered. The defense would've fought like hell regardless to get as many black jurors as possible. The entire case was one giant race card pulled with Exodia like abilities to destroy any amount of evidence that pointed to O.J.

Cochran successfully put the LAPD on trial. That's how OJ got away with it. The prosecution got schooled.

The prosecution was kind of screwed from the jump. You have to remember this case was right after the Rodney King incident and only a few years after the L.A. riots. Racial tensions were incredibly high, and black americans felt the entire justice system was stacked against them. It's the whole reason the defense did everything they did, from trying to get as many black jurors as possible to trying to frame the lead detective as a staunch racist. It's really an odd occurrence to see every piece of evidence stacked against the defense, yet they were the ones holding all cards.
