Is it technically capeshit? Regardless, is it actually good or just my nostalgia? Due to a series of poor life choices I have to settle for antenna TV, and it was on last night so I watched it. It was every bit as good as I remembered from watching it in the 90s, in my teens.

The sequels aren’t as bad people say they were
no it's not capeshit
if blade is capeshit then so is men in black and dredd
Nobody really says 2 is bad or worse than 1. It's 3 everybody shits on and it's pretty well deserved that movie is terrible.
1 and 2 are pretty solid but cheesy as fuck.
Obligatory soundtrack for the thread
No, capeshit is MCU, DCEU. Everything before that were just movies that so happened to be based on comics.
>Nobody really says 2 is bad or worse than 1.
It's not bad, but it's definitely worse than the first.
Men in black and Dredd are not superhero comics. That's like saying Deadpool and Punisher are not capeshit because they are also antiheroes.
The original story and beats are definitely capeshit, though it's pre-MCU capeshit so it's closer to things like Spider-Man and Darkman, Raimi's contributions. Also closer to a Batman movie, especially with the secret base/secret base getting infiltrated. It just isn't as obvious because of how gritty and urban the setting is, as compared to the garish neon colors of those early Batman movies.
Blades still under marvel however they haven’t really done shit with him on the comic side.
Blade and Ghost Rider need new good adaptations. I would not trust Marvel right now tho.
Killing vampires can only be entertaining for so long. They could throw in shit like supervillain vampires but that would be even worse.
You need to kill yourself
The last major thing I recall blade doing in the comics was something about his daughter and he helped the X men fight vampires
1 and 2 are 8/10
3 is a 2/10
Imo
>need new good adaptations
WHY???
Says who? You?
For me to review BLADE 2, it is a major conflict of interest, because Guillermo Del Toro and I are brothers. His father says so. His wife believes this. Guillermo and I are just the best of friends, but when El Gordo calls my father Dad, and I call his Dad "Pops" and we delve into hours of passionate discussion about H.P. Lovecraft, Goya, Steve Ditko action, the movies and pussy… We can lose all track of time on planet Earth.
But having attended the World Premiere of BLADE 2 last night, one inescapable thought crossed my mind during the movie. 10 to 1…. I believe Guillermo Del Toro eats pussy better than any man alive.
Watch his ‘HOUSE OF PAIN’ sequence in BLADE 2. BLADE 2 is the tongue, mouth, fingers and lips of a lover. The Audience is the clit. Watch your audience. This is where Guillermo Del Toro goes down on the audience. It starts with long licks with a nose bump on the joy button slowly. He smiles as he does this… Watching the audience begin to squirm, then he takes the audiences’ clit in his mouth and just licks it like crazy, the audience is ready, on that precipice, then calm. He backs off… long licks again, brings in a finger to massage a bit, licks from the bottom to the top… The audience is cooing… He has them, they want release. He acts like he’s going to give it to you, takes you right to the edge, the audiences’ backs arched, ready to cum…. Backs off pinching the nipples just so, his head bobbing up to say, "You like?" The audience shifts around needing release, he builds again… The pressure at a near boiling point… Each stroke and moment a hypersensitive place… Two fingers to the sweet spot, the audience is there… right there at that point… suddenly he’s relentless taking the audience through a rampage of orgasms…
>every movie with a hero I don't like is capeshit
I wonder if they Marvel would ever cast Snipes for a role in the MCU. Maybe he could play a character with tattoos on his body that have some sort of meaning to them unlike how his tattoos in the Blade movie didn't seem to as alluded to by Ryan Reynolds' character.
Maybe he could play an alien or something that still looks like an Earthling but got many more tattoos and/or scars on his body than many people on Earth have while he was a fighter in a fighting arena. Perhaps some people in some area like on Earth are unaccustomed such an appearance and find refer to him as a 'wild man' as a result of this. It could be something that only beings in the fighting arena give each other and other beings in the place where they live don't have. Maybe the beings in the fighting arena give themselves and/or each other these markings for various reasons, but it isn't because they want to make themselves to try to look frightening to some beings. They wouldn't be tattoos and/or scarifications marks associated with any one group of people on Earth nor would he have to have tattoos and/or scarifications marks associated with any real life group of people at all.
I wonder if he is willing to play a minor character in a movie and they think it won't be a problem to make a movie with him.
Maybe they'll end up making more Blade movies set in the MCU, but with a British Blade in the 80s or 70s or earlier to help differentiate Blade from past movies so there wouldn't be much of a worry about Snipes looking similar to Blade. Although maybe it doesn't bother them that much for him to looks similar to Blade even if those movies were to be said to be set in the MCU as they might not ever appear on screen together. Plus, he could have tattoos and/or scarification marks on his face in addition to dressing differently from Blade so that oculd help distinguish his character from Blade.
trying to get away, trying to escape… back back back, but he has you, and he’s never going to let you forget this moment, the audience was electric… Frenetically frothing… Guillermo hears them begging no more, when he decides to stop for a moment, there is that relaxed calm… The audience relaxes… labored breathing… a sated smile, WHEN SUDDENLY THE RELENTLESS BASTARD IS AT IT AGAIN!!!! You begin laughing, trying to push him away, but no… more pleasure, more joy, more fun… You can’t handle it, you start giggling and screaming… And it goes like this for quite some time, till at the end… The credits roll, the theater lights come up… You look at the screen, you realize you want that tongue again… You want that feeling again, and you watch it again and again, because damn he respects the clit!
1 is ok, 2 is great especially the effects compared to the first. The third was a cashgrab, and the show was about as bad as you'd expect.
Why the fuck did you write all this?
Fuck you harry you obese piece of shit.
kill yourself dumb fuck zoomer
I didn't like how Black Panther got more love than based Blade
Black Panther
>Rich as fuck
>Basically invincible
>tons of gadgets
>limitless technology
>is the government
>gets around in spaceships
>tons of backup like Iron Man and Thor
>zoomer music
Blade
>no money
>can be killed
>has to fight super strong vampires with conventional weapons and flashlights
>cool katana
>gets around in classic car
>only back up is based old guy
>no back up
>based soundtrack
You just answered your own question.
Black panther is more of a power fantasy
post the eyes already you hacks
Blade is great but the CGI aged like milk.
>Is it technically capeshit?
Yes
>Regardless, is it actually good or just my nostalgia?
Yes. Not all capeshit is bad
Why didn't he just open his eyes, anons?
It's better. 1 and 3 are shithouse mate.
Just because you put "shit" at the end of a word, it doesn't make it funny.
newfag
>It's better.
Nah
Is “some motherfuckers are always tryin to ice skate uphill” one of the best kill one liners ever?
I watched it in theaters when it came out and I'd consider it more of a vampire action flick than capeshit.
>I have to settle for antenna TV
I actually think terrestrial tv is better than it ever has been. Besides having the web and radio signals I love tuning in occasionally to all the weird digital sub-stations that terrestrial now offers. It's fun having free movie channels even if they're schlock or camp.
Alien vampire, pureblood vampire, or both?
No, it's retarded. Wesley Snipes even suggested not putting it in the movie
