I just finished The Wire season 4.
Damn that shit was depressing.
I just finished The Wire season 4

OMAR'S COMIN' YO!
It's all in the game, you cannot lose if you do not play
At least Namond got a happy end. The rest of them kids got fucked.
This is how conceal a shotgun in public. This dude is from the future and still has more common sense. Notice how he had to steal clothing fom a bum and manages not to look like a potatoe bag too.
But Omar is flashing his gun around on purpose to scare his targets. He is low key showing them that yeah, he has a shotgun under his coat and he is coming for them.
Season 5 is unfortunately a lot worse than all the others but if you watch it you'll see out the endings for these kids
did nigros really wear clothes that baggy back in the day?
I have no idea how that would be practical in running from cops and doing other regular gang stuff.
like wouldn't you be tripping all over yourself and getting you clothes caught in things while climbing or other stuff
Been to long since I seen it.
the most depressing was Duqie turning into a junkie at the end desu
I already watched episode 1 of season 5. Gonna keep watching it for Omar. I want to see how this ends for everyone.
So far it has been really hard to pick the best season.
>Season 1 was the most realistic and grounded police/crime drama I have seen.
>Season 2 was very tragic with all of that Sabotka stuff.
>Season 3 was the most fun and cinematic. Kind of like an end of an era.
>Season 4 was the most deep and thought provoking look at all the layers of Baltimore world, form schools to elections.
Randy got it worse though.
>You just helping a homie fuck a slut in the bathroom.
>Slut gets angry and says it was rape.
>Now your ass is part of a rape case.
>You confess to knowing about a murder, that you really dont know that much about, just to save your own ass.
>Slut takes back the rape accusation, but you still a witness.
>Cops are incompetent and let it out the you snitched.
>Local kingpin puts the word out that you are a snitch.
>Your life is ruined, everyone hates you and you get constantly attacked.
>Cops fail to protect you again.
>Your house gets molotov'd and your foster mom is severely burnt.
>You get sent to an orphanage, where your money is stolen and the bigger kids beat the everloving shit out of you for being a snitch.
>the end.
True. Although it seems eventually he dealt with it and became one of those older kids by season 5. Hopefully Randy got Cheese's money after he was killed
Damn, the kid was Prop Joe's relative? I wonder if Joe knew about him, would he have taken care of the kid? I mean Randy is a smart boy who knows about thing or two about making money. I think Joe would have liked him.
GOD DAMN IT HERC JUST PICK UP THE FUCKING PHONE
The scene where Carver loses it in his car is so fucking painful.
I agree that S5 is weak but the final episode is the perfect ending for that show.
Which scene did Carver blab about Randy? I can never find it.
It was Herc that blabbed. the fat, sneaky jew turd
Avg IQ 85. Fucking depressingly unfair if you think about it.
Herc was the one who blabbed. I think it was when they were interrogating Little Kevin. Also, how many fucking witnesses have they let be killed? Fucking Frank and Bodie come to mind right away. Every time it's like:
>Yo cops, I'll talk about the crime you are investigating.
>Alright, see you tomorrow at noon.
>Next day they find the dead body.
But can we all appreciate how Bodie went out like a fucking soldier that he was? The dude could have made a run for it, but he stood his grown and started giving Snoop and Chris the business. I only wish he at least took that creepy ass Snoop with him. But yeah, the last true Barksdale guy stood tall.
Fuck Herc. He screwed over Bubs too
To be honest, he may have failed Bubs there, but that incident did start Bubbles' journey to redemption. That scene where the bearded guy who helps druggies comes in and Bubbles starts crying on his shoulder, nearly made me tear up.
You will literally never roll like these with your bros
Bodie being found out was purely coincident. One of Marlo's men saw him talking to Jimmy at the courthouse after they were just hanging out.
Still, Mcnutty should have taken Boadie in right now, knowing their track record of keeping people who are willing to talk, alive. I mean besides Frank, I vaguely remember a few other cases of them failing to protect witnesses.
MONEY LAUNDERING?
IN WEST BALTIMORE?
SHEEEEIT
Bubbles was a really smart guy, forced into being a fiend because of poverty. He got out of that walk of life with a lot of pain and sacrifice. Meanwhile young Duqie (who was smart and nice, just like Bubs) gets forced into becoming a junkie by poverty. Damn, it's like some sort of a curse. One guy gets out, creates a void, other guy falls into that void and takes his place.
>I wonder if Joe knew about him, would he have taken care of the kid?
Highly likely. Cheese was a reckless fuck up but Joe was looking out for him.
>"My sister's boy. You can't divorce family."
And we all know how Cheese returned the favor. Randy was naturally bright and had a hustler's mentality. He'll survive out on the streets but god knows how long. If he was under Joe's umbrella he'd has a better chance to thrive. Save for his nephew Joe didn't make a habit of keeping company with stupid motherfuckers.
I felt so bad for that kid, so much wasted potential.
Yes, it's common knowledge that cops think they're always reaching for guns, when in fact they're pulling up pants that have fallen too low. And also reaching for guns.
>actor could've kept going in Hollywood
>didn't want to become 'typecast'
Last major film I've seen in was Pootie Tang. Should've played the game, nigga.
I think that's what the writers were going for, the young generation are carbon copies of the elder generation despite all the ""fight for change"".
>Namond becomes Cedric
>Duqie becomes Bubbs
>Michael becomes Omar
Guy on the right died recently. Dude was like 5x. Hell of a good actor. Brought a certain quality to his scenes that contributed to Luke Cage Season 2 being better than it had any business being. God damn.
>literally all of this happened because of one dumb slut's fake rape claim
Women ruin everything again lmao
Exactly the point of the ending: after everything we saw these characters and the city of Baltimore go through not a damn thing changed. Namond, McNulty, and The Greek get the only happy endings.
And Randy? Maybe he ends up as the new Boadie (A kid who loses his mother figure early in life, whose talents go mostly overlooked and unappreciated, is repeatedly screwed over by the system, and winds up adopting a thug attitude)?
>Same shit, different players.
I think the ever changing theme song actually carries that idea. It's the same theme every season, but different players playing it.
He's won an NBA MVP, he's doing pretty well
we dont know it was fake
Major Crimes? In West Baltimore?
SHEEEEEEEEEEEIT
You gonna look out for me, Sergeant Carver?
Uh? Uh?
You gonna look out for me?
Kino hallway scene ( kid had way more range than Carver)
I don't know if I want to hate Tommy or the system?
I liked him in season 3 and first half of season 4. He was an idealist and really wanted to do good for the city. But when he won, he lost all of that. I guess the system broke him. He was given way too much shit to eat. And when he got that position, he decided to start looking towards the next position already.
Motherfucker left that money on the table because of pride and ambition. And thus fucked over the cops. His smile and idealism: Gone.
all that showed is that if you have just one person in your life with money and cares about you, you will be saved, even if you don't deserve it
That shit hurt. Cutty, Carver, Prezbo and Colvin all went in to help the kids this season. Cutty couldn't save Michael and got shot in the leg. Carver was thinking he was close to street kids like Bodie and Randy, but in the end he failed Randy and well Boadie ain't around no more. Prez had to see the boy he took care of, slip out of his hands and become a junkie. And Colvin got to adopt Namond, but his program got shut down, so he could only save that one kid, but not everyone.
Fuck off zoomer
8 episodes to go!
>did nigros really wear clothes that baggy back in the day?
yes they did, because they are fucking dumb
Oh shit man, it's Omar!
If I take off that stash would you die?
I knew Carcetti had a hard time as a major, but I didn't think the finances were so low that he was out there robbing drugdealers to pay the police.
>kid had way more range than Carver)
he acted very well now that you mention it
now you understand why things are the way they are
dookie was the new bubbles the same way
sidnor was the new mcnulty
>bubbles being invited up to dine with his sister and her kid at the end
realest ending right there
How old are you? Early 2000s was peak baggycore.
Wait, back in the 2000's I thought pic related was all the rage?
That's how autistic white people dressed not nogs
For ytpeepol maybe.
whites, asians, blacks, latinos all wore the same baggy shit. the only difference was sometimes white people's upper bodies wouldnt be very baggy compared to their trousers
I am not going to read anything in this tread because I don't want to spoil myself so please someone tell me is this show good or not
I want to watch a series and my picks are Wire Sopranos or Broadwalk Empire
Watch all 3 faggot
So the show is about worthless inner city niglets? Who the fuck watches this shit
women love it
care to do a quick rundown?
Watch The Wire and Sopranos. Then maybe Boardwalk Empire.
me. It's about the police and a bunch of other shit too though.
Man I miss Avon and Stringer. Feels like all their shit happened ages ago. I mean Marlo and his crew are okay, but those two were something else.
Wire is the best out of the three. Give it a go and then move on to the others.
Love it. Best tv show ever made.
Season 2 was bluecollar union kino
Yes you pleb
Watch all of them, if you're struggling to pick one pick Sopranos because you're a faggot and a pleb until you've seen it
damn, that's some deep writing. after everything, they really did become The Wire™
>Love it. Best tv show ever made.
Black's aren't human user, I'd rather watch Planet Earth, I legit find the creatures in that more relatable than negros. So fuck you I'm not watching your liberal trash
Everyone was trapped by the system ... except for Carcetti. He had the choice to either take the governors money and let the cops to their job properly, or not take it because it harmed his own chances of being governor. He chose his own career over the city.
...
I missed this entire plotline lel. I always tuned out during his parts
Was Namond gay?
>wahhhhh
Nah, he was just a softy that could never live up to his dad's reputation
I didn't particularly enjoy what I saw of Boardwalk but Sopranos and Wire are pretty much tied. Watch both, if you can't decide which one to start with then flip a coin.
Sure thing, kid.
You can't defend your violent criminal apes so you do your
>m-muh /pol/
Shit. It's embarrassing little dude
The Sopranos changed TV as we know it, The Wire should be shown in classrooms, Broardwalk Empire is cookie cutter.
Why all the weird looks with Michael?
>show more blacks in school
No thanks liberal, the two months kids spend on Obama is plenty
The sopranos was stupid as all hell. Sure it had great acting, but that's about it.
>110805976
idiot pleb take
Sopranos like all tv shows went to shit immediately after the first season
So kids grow up to be either good people, bad people or somewhere inbetween. What amazing social commentary.
Why? I mean look at how unrealistic that show is. It's a damn fairy tale. Guys kill people in evert other episode, leave behind enough evidence that a beat-cop could solve it, and they usually get away with it. And who am I supposed to root for in here. They are all scum. Every character is a disposable human being. And no, I don't want every character in my shows to be a perfect moral goodie two shoes. But I don't want everyone to be an unlikeable asshole too. What is this show even trying to say? That being a mobster is bad? Big fucking whoop.
worst season. David Simon got so triggered by people calling it "Dickensian" that he made a whole character about it in season 5. Even though The Wire is Dickensian and that's not an insult.
it's a good show, but so is Planet Earth
You have to see the series finale so you can actually see how their lives pan out. Mike replaces Omar while Dookie replaces Bubbles.
great writing too
>worst season.
I wouldn't say it's the worst season, but it's definitely the most-overrated -- especially on here.
they were making fun of the mob, of course it was stupid
Skip sopranos.
That image makes me want to say the n word op
>imagine being a black kid with an iq of 55,wondering where dad went years ago and why you're so angry and violent all the time (hint, it's because you aren't human)
