>too deep
No, but too original. It went against what people were primed to see and what they were hoping to get from the movie.
The nightmare scene is kino at least.
Go to bed Snyder
>Go to bed Snyder
Correct: "Go to bed, Snyder.".
Snyder is legitimately 2deep for most people. This isn't to say that he's ever actually succeeded at being a great film maker, just that what he does tends to go over most of his critics' heads anyway, even when his films go out of their way to hammer into the viewer's head what they are actually doing.
David Goyer's CG shitshow and the change of tone in the second half of the movie ruined it
No it was just a really bad movie... like really really bad.
Sucker Punch was not subtle at all. That's not to say Snyder has never made anything good. 300 succeeded at exactly what it set out to do, and despite criticism, I still contend that the Watchmen adaptation was fantastic. However, both Sucker Punch and BvS were laughably bad.
>Sucker Punch was not subtle at all.
Kek, that's my point. Yet despite that, despite the movie explicitly explaining itself and Snyder making it clear in interviews what he was attempting to do, people still didn't get it, and so you get people who are like:
>Dude, the movie was meant to be a 'sucker punch' to people who went into it wanting to ogle at sexy girls, you're actually supposed to realize that you're a horrible person for having a sex drive
And thinking that is the point.
>It went against what people were primed to see and what they were hoping to get from the movie
I agree with this, first of all it goesn't against most modern movies structures since instead of a 3 arc film we got a circular narrative where the movie began with bruce's parents funeral that took away his humanity and it ended up with superman's funeral that ironically gave batman faith in humanity again and what's more he finally could get over his parent's death for the first time, I really like it. too bad that aren't seeing somethin as good as this anytime soon.
It was shit. Pure shit. Sorry, but the critics and normalfags got this one right.
>too deep
The only thing to deep were the massive plotholes
It was a notch above the storytelling of most capeshit which means the retarded capeshit loving demographic had no taste for it
Yup
>people still didn't get it
Oh, they got it. It was just too trite, one-note, and obvious. There was way too much telegraphing and wind-up to be a "sucker punch."
yes
This movie was so good that it makes me cry. I hope all the crew members that worked on this know they took part in something beautiful.
>That 1 user who shills B vs S daily
Its fucking garbage user. Move on already.
>Oh, they got it.
Please, in your own words, explain to me the point of the movie.
No, it was just bad. Eyerollingly bad. Not gonna lie, I walked out.
BvS Ultimate Edition is a cinematic comic book masterpiece:
>Action of a 90’s movie
>The drama of a 50’s film
>Practical / digital effects of a 2050 movie
>Cinematography of a PTA film
>LOYAL to the source material
>Complex and mature story for a mature audience
You have literally been BTFO. There has not been capekino this HONEST since Burtons Batman, and that’s saying something.
Enjoy Captain Marvel, I’ll stay home and enjoy my BvS Ultimate Edition.
yes and that's fucking sad because it isn't even deep
The problem isn't that its too deep but that modern audiences are completely leashed into following the zeitgeist and what is told to them through online sources. Once it became 'cool' to hate the movie everyone came up with the same critques and parroted them regardless of how dumb or relevant they really are.
It really just shows how easily people will pick sides just so that they can feel part of something. In this case its saying some movie is the worst thing ever when there's far worse things that came out that year than some snyder film.
What was added in the ultimate edition? I've still only seen the theatrical but I still liked that.
>Deleted scene
You mean Director's Cut scene.
>The nightmare scene is kino at least.
you are a moron
>LOYAL to the source material
holy mother of fuck. you are brain dead
30 minutes of movie
every week this same shit
Yes, if by "too deep" you mean "putting onscreen an idiot fanboi-drooler".
Wasn’t so much “deep” but that audiences who are fed MCU flicks and Disney marketing on a daily basis now fail to understand basic storytelling, much less visual.
>Haha Batman stopped fighting because their moms have the same name? xD
>God why does Batman kill in this movie?! Hopefully they’ll address it and have the character redeem himself in JL.
Many such cases!
No. It was just another Snyder flick.
>there's daily 30 so captain marvel threads
>he complains because there are bvs threads once in while
fuck off.
