Also the reason actors get paid so much is because that is the assumed value-add they provide to marketing the film(or the loss that the movie will have if they drop out, which is probably half of RDJ payday for the MCU movies these days, if he were to quit they'd suffer massively).
If you know that Tom Cruise is in the film you have a higher chance of seeing it than if Bob Chipman was the star because you have positive memories/association with Cruise, the box-office takings from Cruise being in the film justify(to the Hollywood accountants) his salary.
Getting/Staying famous for being "raped" is not going to work long term for securing roles because while people know who you are and yes SOME will come see a movie with you in it because of that most people will just feel sorry for you and not see the movie without any other compelling reason.
