Halloween 6: Beaten about the head with a lead pipe, injected with drain cleaner, gets up within a few minutes and carries on killing
H20: Axe to the chest, gets up a few minutes later

I don't remember what happens in Resurrection but basically he's superhuman in all the continuities, except maybe the newest one which is 1978 -> 2018 and implies that he was captured pretty quickly after the end of the original film.

Carpenter can make a more evocative score using nothing more than a beat up casio, a drum machine and a pack of camel reds than most modern composers can do with a full orchestra with backing choir.

Dr Loomis explains him as pure evil. He's essentially explained as the devil.

Horror movies always get overlooked at the Oscars. I don't think there has ever been a horror movie even nominated, except Alien if i'm not mistaken.

The thing with Myers is you have to straddle a fine line of him not being quit human but not making him absured like they’ve done with Jason and even Myers in the later movies

Well carpenter intended him to just be a guy and the final scene as a gag or twist.

But sequels are money and Jason did come out. So they relunctantly did a sequel. It's hard to shit out a new slasher every year if your killer is dead. 4-5 was a jasonizing of Michael for sure, and in most casual fans he is unstoppable just like Jason.
Most normies can't tell them apart.
